    i recieved my so called complete order without my 3 bubble baths- the reciept confirmation that was sent to my email stated the bubbles baths priced nil but what i recieved only contained 2 glycerine handcreams and a brochure at £2.70 with no mention of the bubble baths whatsooever on the invoice. ive still got the email - i can complain .what really annoys me is if a customer or agent make an error in payment avon make a big fuss and even send dca letters- this time its their error which they trying to brush under the carpet-

    Just checked my order on the Lynx website and it says delivered today and left in letterbox, but nothing, no card and no order. I wouldn't have known anything about it if I hadn't visited their site to see the status of the order. What a nightmare with Avon and Lynx. I have sent Lynx an e-mail but it doesn't look like I'll get my order before Xmas now. There's nothing in the signature part on the website and it wouldn't have fit in the letterbox, god knows what they have done with it :(

  • I go out of forty minutes!!!!

    I have done over 500 hours of charity work, including 3 months full time, but it still does not give the same buzz.

    I hang my head in shame :p and look forward to the day when avon send me my bubble bath and big business fulfill their contracts and run their businesses in accordance to the law.

  • Hi, mine has said Out for Delivery since Thursday and I'm fed up of waiting in! I'm hoping that they will leave a card if I'm not home but I really can't believe that its been in a van for 6 days and still not made it here! I think they are making it up as they go along.....:confused:

    can you believe the delivery van turned up tonight at 21:45pm!! Luckily i was in tonight!

    No bubble bath for me as I expected! I can't believe Avon send their orders out in such HUGE boxes! What a complete waste. I had two tiny boxes of those face pearls and a letter + the avon book and the letter talking about the technical problem on the website all in a huge box. :rolleyes:

    Annie I have been known to say ' so what, it's just a misprice sometimes you're lucky and sometimes you're not' afterall they happen all the time but I respect you for standing up for your rights. Companies get away with this ALL THE TIME and it's just not on.

    To send people nothing but an avon book in a box and charge them posting is disgusting imo. :mad:
  • Cheeky so-and-so's! I probably wouldn't even answer my door at that time of night lol. I'm looking forward to mailing my brochure (when it eventually arrives) back to Avon telling them what they can do with it!

    On another note, I see that Martin and MSE were quoted in the Guardian today regarding the Hamleys incident!

    I recieved my order yesterday...minus the bubble bath of course! however, the bubble bath was listed on the delivery note. They didn't even send me a copy of the letter - which some of you have received - about the error on their website. So, I decided to send them an e-mail. By the way, I do have better things to do with my time and would not have bothered persuing this, if they had enclosed the letter regarding their error or if the missing goods were not listed on the delivery note. In my opinion Avon have behaved very badly. I buy a lot of stuff from Avon, both online and from a rep who lives on my street. I am sure long term they will lose a lot of customers (me included!), short term they are making lots of $$$. I am sure many people bought extra items they probably wouldn't have bought if they had not been tempted by this so-called free bubble bath! Not to mention all those poor sods who paid for an empty box!!

    This is my e-mail to Avon: Dear Avon,

    I have just received an order from you. However, there are several items
    missing from the parcel which are listed on the enclosed delivery note. 4 x
    049959 and 4 x 014439.

    Please resolve this error.

    I have had £2.70 taken but no order has been recived (I orderd 2 eyeshadows) and each time I email them I get the bog standard reply anput the bubblebath-grrrrr

    They replied to me with:
    Whilst we appreciate that you are upset that we are unable to process your order, the promotion was to buy 2 items at the regular price of £4 in order to receive the 2nd item free of charge. Since you have not in fact purchased a bubble bath from us we are unable to proceed with this promotion.

    They just keep saying that as I didn't pay for it, they are not sending me it.

    They also just told me:
    We regret that you are unhappy with the way we have explained this error to you. However, we do not believe that a valid contract has been entered into as you have not given adequate consideration and you were aware that it was not our intention to supply this item free without an associated purchase. This was a genuine error on our part and we now consider this matter closed.

    I don't even understand what they mean with that one?

  • I order the bubble bath too and didn't get it! LIke everyone else my emailed confirmatin from Avon included them but they weren't in the box or on the delivery note.

    I can understand why they didn't send them as it must have been obvious that there were a lot of people taking advantage of their error, but it would have been nice if they had let me know I wasn't getting them and offered me the chance to buy them at the correct price. How are they to know that I wasn't counting on them to give as presents!
