Been offline for a few days, but am most impressed with everybody's efforts, especially this response from Alan, good on ya!!!!
Let's all keep up the pressure, they can't be allowed to make up their own rules!!!!0 -
I have been trying to get my £2.70 back but they just keep harping on about the bubblebath I can't have. They don't seem to want to talk about the money they took out for 2 eyeshadows which were part of the bubblebath fiasco order but which they cancelled as a whole order. I've now sent them 4 e-mails trying to get my money back all to no avail-any ideas anyone????0

I am even more annoyed with Avon now!
I place my order on 10th December (I ordered some other stuff as xmas pressies, not just bubble bath!) and they charged my account on 11th December.
I still have not received my order at all! I called them and they said they will pass it on and someone will call me back later... I would hate to be the person who is going to speak to me!! That is if they even bother to call me.
I can't beleive that they are quite happy to send out empty boxes as quickly as possible, but when it comes down to actually supplying a real order they could'nt give a rats !!!!! :mad:0 -
I got most of the standard letter from them saying I can have 20% off next order and a bit added where I asked about security, saying only my name and address and order could be seen. I don't expect even my name and address and e-mail should be available for everyone to see when I order something on a website. They don't seem to want to budge and inch on the bubble baths. They got another e-mail off me anyway so will wait for the next installment
) I probaly wouldn't bother but they seem so arogant I had to reply

and what advice would that be?
If Avon have breached UK contract law then stop faffing around on here and sue them.
You don't need advice! They'll settle out of court and you'll be a couple of bottles of bubble bath better off.
But is it worth it? After all, there are kids dying of leukaemia in the world.........why not devote your (undoubtedly capacious) free time to doing some charity work for them in their final days?
You'll find it infinitely more rewarding than getting all het up over a couple of cheap bottles of bubble bath.
Trust me.You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -

I certainly don't have capacious free time - in fact my time is spent studying, working, being mother etc etc probably the same as most of the others who post here. We are simply trying to stop these companies walk all over us.
I'm certainly not getting het up over a few bottles of bubble bath - I am simply standing up for my consumer rights and the more people who do it then the less we shall get walked over.
Can I suggest you find a more suitable thread to preach on in future.0
