  • Message to Applehead...

How have you gone on with this as i too bought my phone on 27th July and they have told me i should have sent in Octobers bill!!
What is the definition of a bill? I believe it to be 'an itemized statement of money owed for goods shipped or services rendered'. This is what i was told to send in...no.4.
The pathetic excuse they are giving is just crazy!!
So what stage are you up to?
  • Happy New Year to you Mr ????. I can confirm that the correct bills you need to send back to claim your cashback are as follows :-

Month of purchase November so you need to send in your 6th bill which will be your April 2007 dated invoice, your 8th bill this will be your June 2007 invoice and your 12th bill and this will be your October 2007 invoice.
Please send your relevant bills to the address on the cashback vouchers within 30 days of the invoice date. I recommend that you send the bills by recorded delivery so that you have a recorded of postage. As long as the correct bills are sent within the correct time scale the cashback claim will be raised.

am totally confused and worried at this moment.

Noticed this thread over Xmas and I checked on E2save website, it said my 4th bill was the 3rd one (dated 5th Dec) so I ended up sorting this on boxing day and posted it then. Tried to ring from work 28th and 29th of Dec as I sent it to the address in Wednesbury. But I only have 10 mins for a break so could not get answer when I tried.

I am going to ring up Monday now when I got enough time, however I got a feeling they are going to say I sent it to the wrong place and despite me thinking that Jan's bill is the 4th bill (i will ask them to tell me the dates on the other 3!!) wonder if they will say I wont get any cashback as I have missed the 30 days?.

I also was not able to get to a Post office to send recorded delivery until the new year so had no choice but to send first class in hope.

Either way any tips on what to say to E2save, I do feel what they have done is very misleading as it clearly states the 4th bill and also there are two addresses to send the bill to.

Havving said that I did get the first automatic cheque, but it took more than the 60 days and a phone call to get it.

I sent mine by special delivery on 28/12/2006 to the Wednesbury address. It was signed for on the 29/12/2006 and I had a txt back saying claim had been successful a few days ago.

I ordered my phone in late August but did not receive till September. According to the cashback leaflet with the phone the 4th bill would be the November one but it was actually the December one. The generic script based form on the web site stated to send Decembers bill as did my account details. So I attached a print of this info and put it all in the post with the redemption voucher thing.

Still not impressed with the delay in them sending my automatic cash back.

Not a bad idea to sent a selection of bills to ensure the cant accuse you of sending the wrong one.

Its shocking, they never have got signatures for recorded and never will to this address!!

    That's not quite true.
My last cashback I sent by Recorded to the Wednesbury address, must have been redirected to the Dunstable address.
Much to my shock there was an electronic proof of delivery with a Dunstable mark on it.
So no free book of stamps for me.

I'm not holding my breath, but perhaps this is could be a change for the better.

I'm having this problem with e2save. They want bill 4, but list it elsewhere as the bill dated December, which is bill 3. It seems to affect people who signed up at the end of the month. I'm just going to apply twice and see which one gets accepted. Technically, they're saying they'll give me cashback twice over.

Just a question. People are saying there is a cheque back leaflet where you need to cut out the vouchers and sent it with the claim. I haven't had one of these but I'm using the vouchers from the PDF on their website. Will they still accept these?

On my last contract they failed to send me the cash back vouchers so I used the downloaded ones from the site with no problems.

Personally this is my third E2Save contract and I am currently having problems with the latest one where I sent in the 4th invoice and they apparently wanted the third. I am not losing sleep over this and will just escalate until it gets to the small claims court if necessary. I would love to hear them arguing that the 4th bill is in fact the 3rd bill in court :rotfl:

I know that e2save accepts copies of the bills. Does anyone know if e2save accepts prints of the online bills (I'm on Virgin)? It's the same to me, but you never know... Before I ask Virgin to switch for online billing, I want to be sure. I asked e2save in writing but no reply (of course!). Being allowed to use online bills would remove the risk of late sending by Virgin, or even being able to send the bill even if I'm away from home when it's time so send cash back claims.
    Thanks

    Philippe
