  • oh my god - this thread has put me off any e2save cashback deals !!

I feel so sorry for all you folks that have been duped. It's so stressful and to think what they are doing is deliberate and surely fraud ??

I sincerely hope you can all take them to the cleaners in court - coz that's what they deserve.

Please report your successes back to the forum so we can all gloat together. Sounds like perfect BBC 'Watchdog' material to me.

These kind of antics are fairly regular for most insurance companies too - but insurance deals have been around years and we've all heard the scam stories so now expect it from them.

'Cashback' mobile phone deals are relatively new so it's still a shock - thank god we can all exchange this information on the web and get back at these scam companies.

One more thought - 'Cashback' deals are very good deals for people who can be bothered (they didn't anticipate us MSE folk eh ?) but I can't help being reminded of the old saying "if it sounds too good to be true - then it probably is"

    Good luck everyone.

I have just got through to the 0845 chequeback helpline after 25-30min on hold, my contract finished on 17-06-06 (nearly 6 months ago) and I am still awaiting my final cheque! The others arrived no probs. I have had to call and re-request 3 times now, hopefully this should be the last as I was !!!!ed off and she made this request urgent.

    Makes you wonder!

I've been told that my cheque has been raised and will be here within 21 days!!

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALSO A WORD OF ADVICE TO ALL

USE THE SHEET OF PAPER THAT COMES WITH YOUR PHONE TO CALCULATE THE CASHBACK THING!!!!!

START FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE AND NOT RECEIPT!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone please clarify for me which bill I should send, as this gets a little confusing?!

Ordered in October, recieved my phone on the 26th October (same week of order), recieved my first bill in Novemeber dated 26/10 - 6/11, and i've now just recieved my second bill for 7/11 - 6/12. So is it the next bill I need to send, or the one after that?

I have just been on phone to cashback team...what a joke!! According to what she has just told me you need to send in the bill of the 4th/6th month (whichever contract you are on )INCLUDING the month you bought the phone in..so if its the 4th bill you need to send this will be the bill DATED January. Good luck!!
  • Happy New Year to you ????. I can confirm that the correct bills you need to send back to claim your cashback are as follows :-

Month of purchase November so you need to send in your 6th bill which will be your April 2007 dated invoice, your 8th bill this will be your June 2007 invoice and your 12th bill and this will be your October 2007 invoice.
Please send your relevant bills to the address on the cashback vouchers within 30 days of the invoice date. I recommend that you send the bills by recorded delivery so that you have a recorded of postage. As long as the correct bills are sent within the correct time scale the cashback claim will be raised. The cashback vouchers have been adapted to make the cashback claim easier to understand, I would appreciate your comments if you found the cashback calendar misleading.

I hope this information clarifies the situation.

    Regards e2Save

My mum got her phone from e2save in May 2006. The cashback deal send to send 4th, 8th and 12th bills.

She sent the 4th bill (dated August) and received a text saying cheque would be with her within 28 days.

28 days past and no cheque, rang customer services and was told cheque was lost in post another one would be raised please wait 35 days.

35 days past and no cheque, rang customer service and was told cheque was lost in post (again) another one would be raised please wait 40 days.

40 days have almost past and her 8th bill will be coming any day, should she just add a covering letter stating 1st cashback still not received when she sends in her claim or is it worth ringing customer services again?

I was shocked with all this as I have had 3 cashback contracts from e2save and never had a single problem.

If you want my advice sign up to Three (direct through the Three website) as their line rental discounts do not involve claiming cashback.

  • I had similar problems with e2save. I let it drag on for about a month then sent a strong letter headed
    WITHOUT PREJUDICE

7 DAYS UNTIL LEGAL ACTION IS TAKEN

Followed by the details of my claim and a solicitors name and address (which I made up) I got an email response within a day saying a cheque had been drawn up and I received it within a week.

Hope this helps someone who is suffering at the hands of these sheisters.

  • Had the dreaded letter today saying I'd sent in the wrong bill.

I sent the 4th and 8th which I had no problems getting a cheque, I then sent the 12th as requested and they now tell me this was incorrect.

This is becoming frustrating when you read this thread, and I can only assume it is deliberate action to try and salvage a bit of profit by accusing the customer of being too thick to count his bills correctly.

I know I'm in the right, but not looking forward to the hassle of kicking up the stink required to fight this.

After this deal I looked at switching networks and going for another cashback deal. But first I called Orange to see what they could do, I told them about the best O2 deal (per month cost taking cashback into consideration) and they upgraded my handset for free to the latest ericsson and beat the cashback deal without the need for cash back, just a low low line rental with loads of minutes. I pay £25 with I think 500 x net mins a month and 250 texts without the need to claim back from e2save! My bill is never more than £30 and I use it as much as I want within reason! The networks can do the deals direct you just gotta make em, and if you've been a good paying customer they'll wanna keep you!
