I found a fat free vanilla in Marks and Spencer and I was going to have it with my oats this morning but I couldn't face the oats so I had scrambled egg and smoked salmon, absolutely delicious

I may be able to have a go at making the galettes when I get home tonight, otherwise I may just have porridge and yoghurt (if I don't have time) in order to get the oatbran down

Try adding vanilla essence before cooking and sprinkle with splenda when cooked. I add vanilla essence, cinnamon and splenda to the galette before cooking, it makes it sweet and more edible

Hi I started Attack yesterday, dropped 2 and a half pounds ovenight, have a stone to lose, so that's an encouraging start.

I notice a few of you recommend Onken FF Vanilla yog and also there's a strawberry one. Drooling at the prospect, I hot-footed it to Sainsbury's last night, however I notice it does contain some sugar (in addition to the natural milk sugars) and also added starch. I think it was tapioca, trying to read the labels without my glasses.

I left it and went back to my Tesco 0% Greek natural yog which is yummy. Do you get away with using small amounts of the Onken without affecting losses?

    Thanks
  • Well done Bronnie
I'm on day 4 and have a bit of a rough taste in my mouth
I am not sure how long I should be on attack, I originally planned 4 days but when I looked at the DR D website and put in my details it said 8 days of attack:eek:
I think I may just do tomorrow which will be a total of 5 days and then do a PV day on Saturday as I have a friends firework party in the evening and she is not likely to have much PP there. I could get away with some meat or fish (or take my own) and salad.
My body is telling me I need a glass of champagne - probably to clear my palate. Anyway, I haven't got any and can't afford any so highly unlikely to happen!

10lbs down since the 30th of October.

Not bored of steak, mince and chicken yet, thankfully.
  • I'm no expert mrs mum but the taste in your mouth may be as your body is in ketosis . I'm just taking this from the info on dukan diet site . I read that it's normal and means diet is working . Please check up for yourself about this on the site.
  • I have been on the Dukan diet for 5 and a half weeks now and have lost 14lbs! Very pleased with this as I am in hotels 3 nights a week and it can be very hard indeed to find anything to eat! Good ones do the salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, otherwise it is poached eggs for me. I try and take a chicken breast for lunch on my first day away after that it is tricky and usually have to have a slice of ham (taken from breakfast) wrapped in a serviette! Luckily most places will do me a steak and green salad for evening meal but last night (Birmingham) was a disaster. Told the waitress I was on a strict diet and asked for a small steak and salad - no dressings or sauces - got a plain salad and a steak with a huge pat of butter on top - doh! Won't be booking in there again.
My next weigh in is Sunday and hope to have lost another 1lb or if lucky 2lb. Started with a target to lose of 21lb so well on the way now and should get there well before my Xmas holiday on 23rd December. :)

Just to tell anyone looking for oatbran that it has shot up in price in Tesco- think it is now £1.99 & was £1.49.
However found some in Holland & Barrett @ £1.29 yesterday. There are different grades in there too- fine, medium etc, plus wheatbran. H & B have launched a loyalty card- activate it and they give you £1.50 in vouchers in the next mailing. Can't be bad.

I am still baking the oatbran muffins. I am going to try to find that natural sweetener Stevia, but suspect it will be expensive!

Have almost lost 2 stone since mid June.
Had a wonderful cruise, learned to dance (ballroom) danced lots every day and despite yummy cruise food came home lighter! All that dancing

Been going 11 months now and I am pleased to report that I am 2lb shy of losing 4 stone.

Lets see what a few weeks walking a Xmas post round can do for me.
