so the lady said that she would send them again and i will receive them in 7 days - its day 9 today and still NOTHING!!!

im gettin unbelivably annoyed now and have said that if i dont receive them i will go in to a branch sit in the middle of the floor and scream till they give me my bank statements lol

How can they do this im am fully entitled to my bank statements!!!! grrr:mad:

My partner has sent an email to barclays bank asking for his statements a week and a half ago - he received them yesterday

we will be checking through them tonight and sneding off a claim letter tomorrow. He also has an account with Halifax we may claim from too.

The last thing i need at the moment is natwest hassling me for money they owe me and then not even giving me my bank statements! i am 3 months pregnant in quite a lot of debt at the moment and struggling with work how dare they try n make me feel even worse!

has any one got any amunition or anything to help me get these bank statements off them???please do help!!! thankyou!!
  • Hiya.

I posted a letter to Bank of Scotland on 1st March including a cheque for £10.

    The cheque has been cashed.

By 20/04 I had not heard from them so I emailed $CustomerRelations@HBOSplc.com, threatening to report them to the Information Commissioner if I did not here from them within 48 hours.

Having again heard nothing by 2nd May I personally delivered a letter to my branch, again threatening to report them if I did not receive the information within 7 days.

    Again, not heard a peep!

What should my next course of action be?
    Report them?
    How do I do that?

    Cheers,
    Michael.

I used the MSE bank charges reclaim template and sent it off with a £10 cheque about 4 weeks ago. I have heard nothing back.
    Anyone suggest the next step?

    Thanks
  • Wrote to Halifax on 23 March requesting statements and giving them 40 days as per sample letter.

On 1 May, day 39 rang them up and said not received statements, they said we would get them in the next 2 - 3 days.

Still not heard by 8 May so rang again.

Told that 40 days starts from when they cashed our £10 cheque, which was 17 April. (Why did it take 3 weeks to cash a cheque?)

Said i did not think this was right but they said all statement are being sent out in order of when they received letters. They have loads to send out.

    Is this right??

Speak to your local branch, the bank's complaints/customer service department and their head office, I would do this daily to each department/branch until you find someone who will deal with your request for the information/statements.

But please try not to take your frustration out on the person answering the phone :)

Also check if you can download your statements online as you can with Lloyds and HSBC.

HALIFAX Hi all... the 40 days are up,cheques cashed, the 7 day letter threatening them with the info commissioner has been sent , letter reporting them to commissioner has been sent... still a big fat zero... this gets me thinking ... all the banks are snowed under with complaints as is the commissioner... why dont i just get a court order to make the bank give me my statements and save the constant phone calls and the fobbing off from the bank..their excuses are no better than my 10 year old son comes up with........ so how do i go about getting a court order to do this.. any info or replies would help me a lot .. cheers in advance Dave..

I wrote to my bank for statements to calculate Bank Charges but after 40 days got no reply. I rang the Manager who referred me to 'Customer Services' Huh! Customer Services I don't think! They were far from helpful and could give me no idea how long my request for statements would take! I gave them until the end of this week (today) and rang again stating I was going to complain to the Infomration Commissioners Office. I might aswell have said I was going to go for a swim - they were completely unphased. I explained they were breaking the law and if I had delayed my transactions with the bank AT ALL there were instant penalties to pay!
I am REALLY getting angry now and initially started this process with a genuine fear of the outcome but now I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
Is there a standard letter to send the bank to state I am writting to the ICO?
