I'm Getting Really Annoyed With Nationwide. I Sent The First Letter To Nationwide On 14 Feb, Its Now 28 March. Still No Statements.
I Rang Last Week They Said Will Get Someone To CAll You Back By Next Wednesday - Nothing.
Rang Them On Wednesday - Went To Put Me Thru To Data Protection - Answer Machine - Typical.
All They Can Do They Say Is Send An Email To Them With A Complaint From Me.
What Do I Do Now Its Been 6 Weeks, Well Over The 40 Days.
They Tell Me That There Is A Back Log - But Not When It Comes To The Fact That They Cashed My Cheque Within A Week But Can't Send Me My Statements.
Someone Please Help, What Can I Do, Surely They Are Breaking My Rights Under Data Protection.0 -
I Don't Understand This Thing Where People Type A Capital Letter At The Start Of Every Word
anyhoo, they are stalling.
if you are serious about getting your unfair charges back then complete the next step in the process... get the court action started!0 -
I know I might be worrying a little early but I sent my letter requesting my bank statements on the 2nd of march, as of yet I haven't recieved anything.
Can anyone tell me just how long their bank took and which bank it was.
I am with the Halifax.
Thanks
Ps, some one has told me I was suppose to send it recorded delivery, then someone else asked if I sent it to the right address.
Now you see why I am worried.0 -

I am trying to reclaim bank charges for my brother and his friend. It has been over 40 days since we asked for the statements.
My brother has received a letter from Lloyds TSB nearly 2 weeks ago saying they are dealing with his request and will respond as soon as they can.
My brother's friend received a letter last week from Yorkshire Bank saying that they are struggling to get the statements within the time limit but he is within his rights to go to the Info commissioner, today he received only 3 years bank statements?
Any ideas guys how:
a) I can get Lloyds TSB to hurry up and send my bro's bank statements; and
b) Get Yorkshire bank to send my brother's friend's statements
I fear they are using delaying tactics until April when the OFT make their judgements. Any help appreciated.I wished the buck stopped here as I could use a few!0 -
Hello, my name is danny.
Just a quick ditty to enquire if anyone could provide me with information/advice, with regards to the correct protocol/next steps when the 40 day deadline for information request has expired.
I sent a recorded letter and £10 cheque to Yorkshire bank approximately 35 days ago, and as yet have heard nothing. The cheque, however, cleared about 30 days ago! !
I am not expecting my bank statements to arrive on the day before d-day, so any advice as to the best way forward for this outcome, would be gratefully received. Do I make a phone call, a letter? Or do I report to the commissioner as stated in the template letter?
For info, I had another bank account and wanted to do the claims in tandem, and therefore started both claim procedures at exactly the same time. I received the required information from first direct 3 days later with the £10cheque enclosed to boot! 3 weeks later, I had all my charges returned to me in form of a cheque. As explained above, Yorkshire bank are dragging their feet a little bit.
Regards Danny0
