Brilliant, thanks!
I was hoping that would be the answer0 -
i sent the template letter to my Bank last month, but i forgot to put the date on the letter, but i noted it on calendar when i posted it.
however the 40days are nearly up (next week) but have not anything from them put the cheque i sent them has been took out of account.
Are they just beening funny with me by ignoring.
i sent same letter to a credit card company (2 weeks after) they sent cheque back, but they also sent statements (was very shocked) as a goodwill jester letter said.
hope you can help

I am also in the same situation having sent the initial standard letter to Barclays and received a letter from them (25 days ago now), stating that they are under no obligation to present the information requested according to any particular format and that they will supply copy statements to me 'within the next few weeks' but that the info is stored manually and not on computer. Why do I get the impression they are trying to confuse me...all I want is the 6 years data on overdraft fees they've charged me, can't be that difficult , I don't want reams and reams of bank statements to wade through, can anyone suggest what to do next? do I just tell them again what I want and remind them that their 40 days is soon up or just sit tight and wait0

You may not want to have to wade through reams of statements but you will need to produce a list of each charge, what its for and the date it is taken and this information is much easier found on statements than any list the bank may be able to provide as often only the bank know the abbreviations on such lists. You'll find that people who have received their information in this way then have to go back to the bank and ask for the statements.0

I wrote to Barclays last week, after waiting over 40 days, telling them they have 7 days to comply or I will report them to the I.C - I only asked for 2 years worth of statements!
I filed my complaint to the I.C this morning, can someone please tell me what I do now?
Thanks0 -

Hi!
I have asked this question and so has kazzadj earlier on but no-one seems to know what happens now.
I expected to get some kind of acknowledgement email from them or something but as yet haven't heard anything. Just waiting to see if anyone else can help :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks Pigsmightfly -(I did try using the thanks button, but I kept going to the top of the page).
I sent my complaint using the online enquiry form and it did say I will get a reply, but not when, although I appreciate they must be inundated.
I suppose we just keep checking to see if anyone can help.
Thanks again!0
