Send them a letter saying their in breach of the DPA and inform them you'll be contacting the Data Commissioner if they don't comply.
  • I'm thinking they may not have recv'd it for some reason. I sent my first letter to the local barclays branch with a cheque from another bank. Within 2-3 weeks they returned the cheque saying they did no charge for this service and supplied a very think wad of papers with extremely small print (think they were trying to make it harder for me-but they owe over £2000 so I wont be giving up that easily!) Good Luck.
  • Hi can someone advise me here?(sorry its a bit long just wanted to explain the reason for my question)

Sent away for statements(3 accounts) from the Clydesdale bank in November last year i enclosed the £10 cheque which was cashed on the 4th december

When the statements arrived they were for one account only, due to a family
member being gravely ill i did not follow this up straight away.
I wrote them a letter in January explaining i had actually requested 3 account statements,They phoned me last week asking me if i was sure i had not received the statements for all three accounts.

Anyway this morning i have a letter saying they have received my request for statements and have cashed the £10 cheque i sent(yes on the 4th december)and that they have 40 days to deliver them.(three months after my original request)

Do they have the right to the 40 day rule as the mistake was theirs in the first place?

Hi people big problems with A&L i phoned them last week and was told it hadn't been 40 days so thought that would be ok and i would recieve them.
Its now 44 days and im still waiting despite me ringing the same number as last week they claim i have failed my security check
So i rang my local branch and they could not tell me anything but to ring the national number who were the most unhelpful people ever. So my question is its been 44 days and not recieved them. I sent the letter on the 16th my cheque was cashed on the 26th and had left my account so what can i do???? im so mad i feel like just forgetting the whole caboodle!!!!!
