Hi,
I received a letter this morning from HSBC returning my £10.00 cheque saying they will send me copy statements and 'we are happy to cover any fees for the production of this information and we return your payment.'
Is this too good to be true???Making the most of what I've got.
I have now realised earning more money won't make me richer but clearing my debts will!!0 -
Hi all,
I have a problem. I sent the letter template requesting my bank statements. With a cheque that my mother don for me. I didn't want any more money going out of mine. So she gave me a Halifax cheque for £10.
So the forty days are now well and truly up. And my mother, has just got her statement. Then letting me know they have not cashed the cheque or sent my statements. I am at a true loss, as i sent them recorded post.
Please help or guide me in what i can do. Are will just have to do the whole process again?
Many thanks in advance.
A very gutted Justin.
O and thanks :money: Martin! for the news..0 -

Do you have any evidence from Royal Mail that the letter was delivered?0 -
I'll have to get the PO number to make sure. But as i done it recorded. I would have thought they have to sign for it? I have to find the slip tonight..

Just two other things.....
1. Not sure if I made a copy of the original letter.
2. I have a second account with them, that I know I never added for the statements, can I request them with this DPA letter.
Many thanks!!0 -

Are they still in breach as 40 days have passed & I havent received all details.??? Dont wanna go send stroppy complaint if they've done nothing wrong. Any ideas? Thanks0

i personally hand-delivered the initial letter requesting my statements on 21st january...complete with a cheque for £10.
up to now i haven't had a response.
can i have a bit of advice on what to do next please?
do i just phone them and give them what for, or do i hang on a bit longer?
i've got a feeling by the time i'm dealt with, the banks would have closed the floodgates...0
