Three and a half weeks ago when I started claiming for my charges I was in credit at the bank. For the last three weeks I have stupidly been overdrawn and Lloyds havent cashed the cheque.
What I would like to know is do I need to start the process again? Do I send them a postal order? Where do I go from here, because I obviously cant ask the bank!
I would be really, really grateful if someone could come back to me ASAP before the four week deadline! (Oh, and is it counted in working days?)
Regards
Fiona
You need to wait for the 40 days, no point in starting asking them again and you can't complain until the 40 days are up.
You could phone the bank and ask them if your info/statements are on the way yet.
You can add any charges to your claim, once you start the process.0 -

While you wait on the info/statement you need to read Martin's article and then you'll know which step to take next.

Phone them first and check if they have sent the information requested out to you.0

Hi,
I wrote to Lloyds TSB on 20th December requesting my charges using Martin's template, I sent this by recorded mail but have not received any reply at all. I don't know what to do now? Should I phone them?
Please help...

Hi,
Can anyone help,
I have written off to all my past creditors to get copy statements but I'm already facing problems.
After 40 days Barclays replied to me saying that due to high demand they are having problems meeting my request and that they have informed the Information commisioner of their situation. But their 40 days is up, they're just stalling for time right? What can I do?
I have also had a reply from Egg, when I contacted them I didn't have any account details because I'd closed the account a while ago. They have sent me a letter asking me to fill in an application form and want i.d or headed letter from my employer, however at the bottom of the letter they say the form is not compulsory. So they are stalling for time also? Should I inform them that the 40 days is still running from the date of my original letter?
Any help with what I should do next would be greatly appreciated.0 -
Hi everyone, was wondering how long it has taken for bank to reply to first letter for charges to anyone out there. Is it a good idea to ring and ask if they are dealing with it or just leave it the whole 40 days. it's Abbey National. Am asking for a friend who is claiming after i told her about it. she does not have computer and was very scared to do it untill i showed her everything here. she's applied, but still pooping herself. Texts me every morning, "still hasn't come". Any advice please anyone?0
