    There's a hot-food van that I see regularly which offers;

    Kebabs
    Pizza's
    Curry's
    Pakora's

    Can you spot the logic......?
Ah, the infamous "greengrocer's apostrophe'! :D

    Sprout's
    Carrot's

To be honest you see this in advertising in nearly every industry. :)

My mum brought me up to believe that it was bad manners to correct people's English.
    So I don't.
But what were her feelings on correcting people's French? :D

I'm actually a Dyslexic, yet I honesty don't think I do too badly against the whole scheme of things. English definitely isn't my strong suit yet compared to most other people apparently without Dyslexia you wouldn't have noticed since my English isn't noticeably worse than anyone else.

However having a diagnosed difficulty with words etc, It does wind me up when people or "Grammar Nazis" as some like to be know as :P, seem to take it upon themselves to correct other people. I'm not complaining or anything :) but it is annoying when you've taken your time to be correct as you can be, or at least to your ability and still you have someone tutting at you, speaking over you to correct you or crossing out things in something you've written. There is no need for it really :P

oh i knew it would be long before a do-gooder came along to spoil the fun :p

This thread is about general grammatical errors, not picking on individual people. Seems it still offends the "forum etiquette police" nonetheless.

(Btw what on earth does it have to do with housing anyway?) :p
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

I've never seen anyone say brought instead of bought. Maybe it's just the company you keep.

You have to be looking very closely to see the difference.

Try closing your eyes and listening instead.

The whole country is going to the dogs!
I saw an advert on a bus for a taxi company "Needing to get to the airport? We'll get you their."
Shame on the person that wrote it, shame on the company that made up the sign, shame on the bus company for allowing it on their bus, and shame on the driver for taking the bus out that day. I even feel a little bit of shame for not following the bus to the depot and ripping the sign right off the back.
There should be a forum for just such a rant! Sign me up.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I think my brain is bleeding!! It's bad enough on a forum - but on a public ad - argh!!!

Pramsay - I will join you in your bus/taxi-purifying revolution!

Were we always this bad, do you think? Or is it just that the internet has highlighted it for all to see...?
