OK, so you can use this as evidence to demonstrate that there is a ready supply of suitable work for the hours that you are available. You are focusing on what you see as your rights as a parent, what you need to do is focus on how you can fulfil the requirements for JSA.

i did this last time, provided all jobs appllied for etc. just a case of repeating myself to them for as long as it takes?!

sorry didnt see your first post!

ive applied for probably in the region of around 25 jobs ive managed to get up to 4 whole interviews but obviously without success!

Which might suggest that there is limited prospect of securing employment within the limitations you have decided upon.

If you wish to stay at home with your children, that's fine, but you cannot also expect to be treated as a jobseeker if the limitations on your employment are such that you have little prospect of actually securing employment.

There are many limitations I'd like to put on my job, but I have to accept that I have to compromise to stay in employment. i wouldn't expect to get help from taxpayers if I chose to leave based on my potentially unrealistic expectations.

as the current economic situation stands somebody whos searching for a typical 9-5 job has little prospect of actually securing employment also! surely if 9-5 is more "realistic" then unemployment figures wouldnt be so high?

On a personal level, I do agree with you. But it is difficult to argue that the OP is unreasonably limiting their jobsearch when they have applied for 25 jobs (I assume in a short period?), when those who claim to be available without limit ... and can only manage to find three a week?
    Gone ... or have I?

what do you mean theres no such thing? im sat looking at the job centre "contract" and it states "you should be available for work from 8 am to
8pm monday to sunday for up to 8 hours a day and up to 40 hours a week"

Is this typed on or is it part of the template for the form?

Should be able to tell which stuff has been printed by the adviser onto the existing template.

That jobcentre "contract" is your jobseekers agreement. You have signed to say that you will abide by the agreement so by not looking for work before 5pm you have broken the agreement so aren't entitled to JSA.

If I was your adviser I would have changed (with your permission) the hours to read between 5pm and midnight Monday to Sunday and in the "agreed restrictions" field written "restricted work hours due to child care responsibilities". As you've identified about 25 vacancies that fall into this category I would not see your restricted hours as being an issue at this moment in time. I wouldn't have involved a decision maker as I had agreed the restricted hours with you.

Could you not ask your adviser to alter your JSAg accordingly?

my advisor changed the hours like you said and filled it all in etc. from the start! but she said it had to go straight to a decision maker, got to wait for an appointment to discuss changing my hours to 8am-8pm

In that case, I think you could struggle. If you are willing to do anything, I can imagine there would be far more jobs available if you did not limit your hours.
