Just started the switch to a new fix. Cheapest fixed deal for me is around £170 per year more than on Eon FOL v8! Just shows what a 'good deal' that was. Now back to reality. The £30 cashback on offer eased the pain a little.

Just tried their login page and get:
We’re sorry, we’re experiencing some system issues this morning. This means that our website is not available. We’re working hard to fix this and will be back up and running as soon as we can. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes you.

Not sure when "this morning" was though! :)

The suspicious ones amongst us might be tempted to think that the site's down because all the prices/tariffs are being 'adjusted'. ;)

I've had an email asking me for meter readings. I just want my bill so I can get moving. I'm looking at an annual increase of £400 to £1800 unbelievable.

Just spoke to Eon - they said could switch now without penalty as in last 30 days of fix period. Final bill will not have the 18.7% and other discounts (6% online and 2% dual fuel?) but luckily I have a bill date of 21 June.

I am thinking eon age concern capped for gas and npower go fix for electric and I will start the switching process for both tonight via a cashback site in the hope of getting some cashback as well and also locking in those tariffs now as they may be gone before the 21st.
    I think....

It may be a good moment to accidentally misread the gas on the high side - may be you were confused and increased the value on the second largest dial by 1?

And they know that the OFGEM bods will shortly ravage them so they want to lock in the increases now:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm coming to the end of Fix Online 8 and looking at either Save Online 7 OR Fixed Price 5. To my calculations the Fixed Price plan is 16% more than Save Online, this is about the average overall EON increase expected for Gas and Electricity (seeing the Scottish Power increase announced today of 19% gas and 10% electricity).
So I suppose the gamble is will prices rise again during the fixed rate period after this latest expected rise or are we at the top of the latest energy price spike ? Oil prices have reduced by 8% and then stabilised from their peaks in April, but who knows which way they will go next.
