PayPal are a voluntary subscriber to the Financial Ombudsman Scheme. If I were in Blue's position I would exhaust PayPals complaints procedure and escalate the complaint to the FOS.The man without a signature.0 -
I have got some kind of reason for my account been closed, although this is after months of phone calls etc. I have been told there is no way my account will ever be opened again. This is what is now on my paypal account

I have only the one paypal account. I have told them this and that any other account opened in my name has not been done by me. I have also said that as far as I am concerned if there is another account in my name it is identity theft and I need to know about it, but all I am getting is we cannot tell you anything about it and paypals investigation. I am seriously considering going to the police to ask them to investigate this matter, although obv not at the moment as they have enough to do with more important thigns going on around the country:(
I also had £2.45 credit in ebay for fees refunded when they removed my listing/closed my account as I had just paid them. After a long time on the phone they have refunded it into my paypal account:eek: Paypal say I can get this money transferred to my bank 180 days after the payment. I have told them I will do this and put it in a charity box rather than let scammers like them have my money. I am so p***ed about this whole thing as I now have to go through friends to buy anything from ebay. I don't like giving them my money in any way, but sometimes things are a lot cheaper on there than in any shop or online anywhere else.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Quite a few years ago, I was selling ebooks on eBay, I know what your all gonna say
Anyway, after a couple of warnings etc I stopped selling them and using that account. Then out of the blue I got an email saying that account was now NARUd. OK, so what, I don't use it and haven't done in at least 6 months.
Then I got an email from parasitic paypal saying they are going to close my paypal account, same carp as the OP got.
I contacted paypal and they said it was ebay who had told them to close my paypal account, contact them. I did and the reply was as the OPs.
Talking to feebay and parasitic paypal is a complete waste of time. You just go around in circles.
I have a paypal prepayment card at the time with about £50, RBS told me paypal had put a hold on that money. I contacted paypal and told them to release my money or I'd go to the Police. That card had nothing to do with Paypal other than their silly logo. Eventually they agreed and the RBS sent me a cheque.
You don't need a Paypal account to buy on ebay but you do to sell.
Click on the I ain't got a paypal account and put in your card details. It must be one that paypal don't know about. If you only have one card contact your card provider and say you think the card has been compromised, someone may have copied your details. They will then send you a new card with new numbers on it.

I agree with you that talking to paypal and ebay is a waste of time. Paypal told ebay to close my account so I cannot buy on ebay as my account is down as no longer a registered user.
Recently a friend who I sent money to via paypal (at least 12 months ago) which had nothing to do with ebay has been told that they have been restricted to selling/listing a maximum of 16 items because they are associated with my account. They are not and live in a completely different part of the country and have a different name, but it seems there is nothing they can do either.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

If you are suspended on one account on ebay then you can't use it again even as a buyer.
However using silly playground names about paypal rather tends to wear my sympathy a bit thin.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Didn't ask for any sympathy. I don't even know you so
I and many others consider Paypal to be a Parasite, get over it. :j

No you can't according to the t and cs but why let the rules get in the way of a good moan. The story is so much better if you can look like the inoccent party.
Best leave ebay and paypal to those who use it wiselyI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hehehe, you're so funny. Not
BTW, my 'main' eBay account has just under 3000 feedbacks and is 100% so get over yourself. :rotfl:0 -

So pleased I am amusing you it is nice to know my use is more than merely decorative
However you run a real risk that ebay will link your current account to the suspended one, we get it all the time on here usually just as a big business is taking off and ebay close it down as 'linked to a banned user'
never mind though- it really just demonstrates that ebay isn't always that easy to use as it is so easy to be muddled and forget to read the t and cs .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
