When you come across those few cases where the seller is genuinely 'innocent' is a bit scary.. thinking that your PP account could just vanish is worrying
maybe someone hacking your IP address? can't think of anything else, if it wasn't someone in your household.
Well today I have these issues you have mentioned.
I have had a PP account for around 5yrs, My son also has an account with them...he also bears the same name as me.....hindsight is a wonderful thing....
Today I had to contact PP because of my unblemished account being limited, and thev'e said it's because of my son's account being handled badly..he owes nothing BUT he's always having problems with his customers, usually AFTER he's withdrawn the funds.
With what I've read on this forum, my pleading with the customer services this morning will fall on deaf ears, I've been told they will give me an answer within 48hrs.
The one thing I am concerned about is the things you 'may' and 'may not' do while your account is limited...like remove your bank account, or your registered credit/debit cards, who the hell do they think they are.
I talked to my card issuers this morning they couldn't belive it either and promptly blocked my cards and issued me with new ones.
Drastic this may seem, but I feel more in control now.
The only pitfall in this scenario is I use PP on a lot of sites as a buyer, as it's been a really convenient way to pay.......:(0 -

Glad to hear it.
I watched the watchdog program and the Ebay rep was out of his depth - promising to address the problem of feedback from sellers within days to appease the BBC.
Within days - seller feedback was withdrawn and watchdog claimed victory.
No system can be fair when we are only allowed one side of the story.0 -

That is the reason I was so bothered about loosing my paypal account, that I used it to buy. At least you have an idea why your account is limited and I would assume in a couple of days you will end up like me with a closed account. It seems like this is what pp are doing a lot of now for some reasonBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

That will almost certainly make it worse as now you look like you are attempting to get round the issue, as though you have something to hide.
You will probably be OK for while, but when it goes they seem to be able to latch on to the most inconvenient time possible to suspend an account.
Personally I would still be trying to track down why they think you are high risk, but more importantly do credit checks to make sure that there is nothing lurking against your name or address that is incorrect. I am always concerned that if one financial institution considers you high risk, then maybe there is a small possibility that others might see the same info and act accordingly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've read stories like yours before on here, http://www.auctionstealth.com/ seems to be helpful for those who have had these issues...
This site also tries to help the many people who have also been in your position...http://www.aspkin.com/forums/uk-ebay-suspensions/
This is just stuff I've saved in my favourites in case it ever happens to me.
