The census is after me?

I'm not sure where you get the 'mainly' from. Present at the recruitment were you? Find me the link where it says 'mainly'. In any case it is irrelevant. They are NOT police. To put it into perspective, they are about the same level as a TV Licence Officer.
Yes indeed they can take a statement under caution. But they don't have powers of entry. And if no one is in, are you suggesting they are going to take a statement from the front door? :rotfl:
i'm surprised, given how keen you are on the 'UP TO' rhetoric every time it was missed, that you haven't fully grasped proper wordings yet. moonrakerz never said they were police or anything similar, he claimed that the census enforcement officers are 'mainly retired policemen or similar', meaning they are made up of retired policemen, not that they have the same powers as retired policemen.
"I'm thinking you have not quite grasped this yet. The wording is 'retired'. It's amazing what a difference one little word can make."helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Where an Act authorises or requires any document to be served by post (whether the expression "serve" or the expression" give " or " send " or any other expression is used) then, unless the contrary intention appears, the service is deemed to be effected by properly addressing, pre-paying and posting a letter containing the document and, unless the contrary is proved, to have been effected at the time at which the letter would be delivered in the ordinary course of post."
Here is the intepretations act 1978, section 7.
The onus is on the census people to prove you had no intention to send it back and did not do so. Pretty hard for them to do. Well, nigh impossible in fact.0 -

After several attenmpts, they could quite simply ask the respondent to post the document and provide proof of posting and/or delivery. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
What case and how have you put it to rest?
None of this explains your rather odd notion of something called "status law;" what is it?
I've never heard of it in my study or career so am waiting for his explanation, although I have a feeling it will be as useful as his 'Professional' spellchecker:rotfl:If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

If that's the quality of the "Professional" spellchecker, give me the amateur one every time. :rotfl:The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
They will get mine eventually. I will not be bullied into completing something I disagree with. I will comply though, as not worth a fine. Just a case of when.0

No, doesn't bother me, just an annoyance like a fly.

Why are you wasting mine and every other taxpayers' money by your rather pointless protest?
