The deadline for submitting the form was the sixth of April.
Actually if you go to the ONS website, they keep moving the goalposts. There is in fact NO LEGAL DEADLINE for returning the form. It's a get out of jail free card for anyone who wants to give them the run around - perhaps eventually agreeing. If they so wish.
I'll repeat that for the hard of hearing.
    NO LEGAL DEADLINE
Ps just have a look at this recent video. Looks like a couple of porcine ex cops to me. Who ate all the pies then?

Perhaps it was an audition for a re-run of Dumb and Dumber. I think they passed!

So, where have they moved these goalposts to then? What do you perceive the term "deadline" to be?

I watched that piece of utter nonsense, to about half way through, until I gave up, laughing my socks off. The stupid woman was accusing them of not knowing the law, when she has no inkling of it herself. The NCOs can give cautions, even if they don't know the name of the person they are cautioning. I wonder if she will be so smug and arrogant, when she is up in front of the beak, telling him he doesn't know anything about the law? It will serve her right when he slaps a thousand pound on fine her.

It is true that there is no deadline for completing the census. The only deadline as such was 22nd May for online completion. There is no deadline for paper completion/the census as a whole. This is backed up on the Census website.

Note/Reminder - I did fill in my census.
Here to learn and pass on my experiences.
Had a total of £8200 of debt written off due to harassment during 2010 and 2012.

Ive read through these pages and....WOW. What a superb effort of trolling.

A word of warning. Unless your ready to loose everything, everything that you have registered with government, get ready to take a gun to a knife fight. TPTB play dirty.

    Good luck.

Have you actually read the act?

The police do not need a search warrant to enter your property.

Resisting arrest is covered by a different act.

Had you actually read the original post?

It was referring to the census people not the police, the police are unlikely to become involved in the failure to provide a census form and the census people have not got the authority to enter your property and arrest you.

I suggest you read the post again and the one it is referring to.

The legislative basis for every Census is the 1920 Census Act, as amended by the Census (Amendment) Act 2000 and the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007.

For the 2011 Census, the Census (England) Regulations 2010 SI 532 provided for the necessary Census Order, which was laid before Parliament on 21 October and debated in a Commons committee on 30 November 2009 and in the House of Lords on 2 December 2009. The Order was approved by both Houses and was made by the Privy Council on 9 December.
