Didn't we discuss the [STRIKE]census[/STRIKE] sensuous foam some weeks ago? They already have my details, In some way or foam,
Surely Flexrider, you're not still blaming your spelling on your new computer?
so much has been deletedIf you have followed what i already stated...
Why's that then?i do not want to be a part of history when im dead leaving details 100 years from now behind
What have you got to worry about?
But it's not your choice to make.It's a matter of choice0 -

Not making a mountain out of anything just defending my corner from the trolls who rather "nit-pick" and take pot shots at me over my personal persona and education.
Hence the signiture. I am trying to show respect to people but just so far form this whole post it's been about taking english lessons.
Will not be replying back now because the whole convosation was started by someone who has not been on and echoed on about myself.
Thank you for your comments.
There you go with that "choice" nonsense; you do not have a chcoice. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
You do not have a choice whether the law applies to you or not. It applies to everyone.
You have a choice whether to break the law or not - and thus to accept the consequences of possible prosecution, conviction & penalty.0 -
Flexrider does make some good points, but does seem confused by his own evidence.
Before I continue I did fill in my form.
During the 2001 census only 37/38 people were taken to court out of the 6% of UK households who failed to fill it in. So out of an estimated 3 million people, only 37/38 had action taken.
The requirement to fill in the census is covered by the 1920 Census Act, and offenders can be be cautioned under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and fined upto £1,000. The only question you do not legally have to answer is the religion question, hence the popular Radio 1 campaign in 2001 to get everyone to write Jedi as their religion.
Flexriders points would have held more weight upto 2001, but for the 2011 census they have cracked down and it is estimated many more people will be taken to court, but not everyone (estimated over 3 million) due to the cost involved both in money and time.
That said you could refuse to fill it in and hope you are not one of the small percentage who have action taken against them. And chances are unless you are a repeat offender you have a really good chance of getting away with it.
But why not just totally wipe out that small chance completely by filling it in?Which was the reason I filled it in.Here to learn and pass on my experiences.

I am not going to trot out all the reasons why some people are reluctant or outright refusing. Or to argue for or against their reasons.
The fact is that, for them, those reasons outweigh the risk of prosecution.
It's irrelevant whether others agree. One has to do what one believes is right - on either side of the argument. And take whatever consequences.
Of course there will be many who think, 'what's the fuss' or who believe firmly in the census. And that's OK too.
I suspect both sides reasoning will remain incomprehensible to each other!0 -

Also this would be an interesting one for the 'i'm not filling it in, I don't want to do as I'm told' etc lot. You lot show me via Google all the people who filled it in in 2001 who have suffered consequences from doing so. I bet your list of people amounts to none!!!!0

No actually 38 people were prosecuted. Most other people when the final threats of court action came they filled it in. That was without dedicated non compliance staff which they have this time around so it will be more.Money_User wrote: »Also this would be an interesting one for the 'i'm not filling it in, I don't want to do as I'm told' etc lot. N.B. Just a suggestion when you suggest people Google something because you believe the answer to be something. Google it yourself first that way you don't look so stupid when the answer is different.

I am not confused, This is my final say on the matter It is my choice in consideration and will not apply to me since i move out of england in two weeks time to Cyprus for 2 years. Got nothing to hide But until this Goverment proves to me my Infomation is safe i refuse to provide any more. Lets examine this state i have made
Goverment Laptops found with social security and sensitive infomation
Minstry of defence data found on a bus or train. There you go with that "choice" nonsense; you do not have a chcoice.
You spelt choice wrong, But if that is option to belief, Do you think i could get a criminal record for not completing a stupid bloody form, Nope I have not committed no crime i just refused to share personal data with a goverment i have no faith or confidence with having that infomation. They have the following- tax records
- driving licience
- address
- people who reside with me
- my business address
- my offices address
- my telephone number
I could send you all a letter saying it is law to pass me your name details ect, asking How much do you earn, Last time a census was done none of these questions were involved. Just the fact it is a head count to the current population.
