    glad I'm not alone!

how lovely is Gavin the scouser! swoooon!!!!

He's lovely, his accent is fantastic but I also like the Irish guy as well
  • yes he is lovely too although I was particularly loving Gavin's glasses last night! :D

so. a day of not much mojo. work is really taking it out of me at the moment :( I have loads to do as always but what I am doing needs so much thinking about and I am worn out!

managed 50 mins of Davina yesterday - the new DVD is brilliant :j and felt really good afterwards so will aim to do some more tonight to lift the mood :)

MrP is still making all the right noises for coming down next weekend. I have the positive hat so will see what occurs. I am trying not to do my normal thinking a million steps ahead thing and will aim to just have a fab weekend if he does pitch up, and tell him to naff off if he doesn't! :rotfl:

    that's about it really! :)

Mmmm the glasses and unshaven look made watching it worthwhile, last night.

I have loads to do at work today as well, best get off here :rotfl:
  • I love how he is quite quiet but seems to know his stuff so when he does speak it's always worth listening to :) oh dear this is going to develop into a monster crush I can just feel it! :rotfl: not my normal type at all, but as my good friend at work says, look where that's got you so far!

had an ok morning workwise, just a few tweaks on what I have been working on before it goes to the board, and then it's done and hopefully it can be rolled out to different bits of the business and save heaps of cash :T normally my boss would pick it apart and seems she has done that but not found much to change this time so I am :j !! Just need to catch up on all the other stuff that has been on hold while I have been on frogwatch!

It's a little thing (pleasing little minds etc) but I made myself a different sandwich for lunch - I have just been nosing through the Save money on work lunches thread as I needed some inspiration. It was really nice so I must make sure I experiment a bit more!

Ahhh the healing power of a sandwich! I believe this is a Joey quote from Friends but I was never a big fan, my old boss told me as I used to get a real cracker of a butty on a Friday from one of the sandwich shops near my old work. I am dribbling now just thinking about it! Brie, hot bacon and mango chutney on doorstep granary bread...heart attack on a plate I'm sure but how good!

Back to the grindstone and then onto Brownies after work :)

I meant to post the words to the little song that led to my diary title, so here goes :) it is a little daft for the over 10s but imagine standing in a room with a little Brownie who has just made her promise and how seriously it's taken and you will get the idea, it's very moving and often brings a little tear to my eye! You hold your little finger up and imagine it has a light on the end while you sing. And where it says '!!!!!!' you blow over your finger like a birthday candle :rotfl:

This little Brownie light of mine,
    I'm gonna let it shine
This little Brownie light of mine,
    I'm gonna let it shine
This little Brownie light of mine,
    I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine

Don't you (!!!!!!) my little light out,
    I'm gonna let it shine
Don't you (!!!!!!) my little light out,
    I'm gonna let it shine
Don't you (!!!!!!) my little light out,
    I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine

Hide it under a bush? Oh no!
    I'm gonna let it shine
Hide it under a bush? Oh no!
    I'm gonna let it shine
Hide it under a bush? Oh no!
    I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine

Take my little light around the world,
    I'm gonna let it shine
Take my little light around the world,
    I'm gonna let it shine
Take my little light around the world,
    I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine, all the time, let it shine

OK. Normal service back later :rotfl:

Oooh Davina sounds hard! I find the Shred painful enough...
Sorry but the !!!!!! really did make me giggle :rotfl:
  • thank goodness someone posted, was worried you would all think i needed carting off (ummm.....and you would be right :rotfl:)

LB the !!!!!! looks funny written down, I have to admit!

re. Davina - I have three different ones now!

Power of 3 which is an hour long and brilliant, not too hard but with varying levels of intensity as per the shred (an easy version and the full version which Davina does)

Three 30 minute workouts which are brilliant - tough in parts but again the intensity can be varied

and I just got Super Body Workout at the weekend which is a KILLER!!!! but really good. she is very encouraging on this one which is quite comforting as far as the telly can be! :rotfl:

Brownies was good tonight, they were finishing their special Royal Wedding badge so were designing wedding dresses. Normally I would be shouting 'reinforcing gender stereotypes!!!' while also simultaneously going 'awww it's so pretty', but tonight we had a reassuring balance of very frothy and extremely edgy :T one was black with a midnight blue lining to the train! They are so creative!

Just had my tea, am on a housework whim tonight so will watch Corrie and then do some hoovering and mop the kitchen floor.

MrP has been on and we have made plans re what we are doing next weekend, I am happy to admit I am really excited and will permit myself to have a monstrous howl and a matching sulk if he doesn't come. Then I will move swiftly on and get over it :D

Oh and I have a last minute booking for Sunday evening - looks like an amazing venue so am looking forward to it. And it is so unexpected I am going to use the money for a guilt free wardrobe injection :)

Sadly I will have to cancel the gig I was going to go to, but am pulling someone else out of a hole and she is very appreciative.

Work was rubbish this afternoon but will head in early tomorrow and get it sorted. I am much better working first thing than last thing!

Yep this nasty week will soon be behind us.

Friday's Eve is nearly passed and tomorrow we can (hopefully) start to wind down at some point.

Hope your Friday is okay, I am heading into work with the intention of telling my tactless manager that I am not listening to any negativity or whingeing. Either that or I use two earphones whilst listening to my radio - just to drown the moaning minnie out!!

    Keep smiling lhg

I like the Idea of calling Thursday "Friday eve". It sounds very comforting!

Glad things are looking up with your MrP, LHG. We will, of course, expect a complete run down of the weekend by the end of Sunday evening - gig or no gig (best of luck with that, by the way).

Now, Lionheartedgirl is a great username, but a lot of typing. Do you mind if it is abbreviated, and if you don't what would you like it abbreviated to? I have been using LHG, but every time I do I think of car fuel.

PS Which Davina would you suggest for someone (i.e. me) to start with?
    "Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

    Hi Lionheartedgirl

Hope you've had a lovely Saturday, did you manage to get some shopping in?

Mr P sounds interesting, looking forward to hearing about it!

    Take care xx
