You take them to court and get them to prove the email was sent ...they rely on people not standing their groundIt's not just about the money0 -
Once you have received the acceptance and cheque raised emails they haven't got a leg to stand on. Their use of "booked in" is typically ambiguous and leaves you with a question mark. I have ALWAYS warned with this dealer that you need to take early action and not wait any substantial time to obtain confirmation of receipt and acceptance. Everything you send needs to be copied so you can prove you complied with their t&c - then you can sue. It's the only language CPW companies usually understand - albeit sometimes kicking and screaming. So much for the "improved" feedback on this merchant!
Customers should never let their guard down with this (or any other dealer) merely because of some good experience or lack of bad feedback. THAT left many licking their wounds with other CPW companies in the past. Follow all the groundrules and YOU are in control. Listen to them and THEY have control. That means they can turn the tap on to stuff people as and when they choose. I prefer to cost them money - and I do.0 -
Hi Daddy,
So what was the outcome of the investigation by Ben ?
Hi Silk,
I had no response from Ben, only the response from the customer services reps, who's names changed with each and every email. I am sure they make these names up so it gives them the excuse to keep repeating themselves in each email, without actually answering any of my questions directly, and allows them to be as vague as possible.0 -

No changes there then :rotfl:
I wouldn't mess about anymore just send a LBA and take them to court ...whenever theres a problem the CS is a waste of time regardless what some of their lovers may post. It's not just about the money0 -
I've been with e2save and CPW (and am about to move to mobiles.co.uk) which are all owned by CPW and I have always submitted my cashback claims by post.
Is trying to submit claims by e-mail the problem here? I have never even used recorded delivery, but I always keep a copy of what I posted and keep a very beady eye out for my confirmation text and then my text that my cashback has been approved until I receive my cheque!
Any touch wood (just waiting for cashback confirmation on my final bill of my current contract) I have had no problems for 3 or so years.....0 -

Don't use email as in sending something to cashback AT mobiles co.
You need to use the online submission form (https://securesite.mobiles.co.uk/submit-bill.html) - which is not the same thing as emailing - wording is all important when talking about something like this.0 -

Ok - using an online submission process then.
I still think by post is the way to go!0 -

If by post then it should really be recorded (costs about £1.40 total but its worth it). That is what I do with my cashback with dialaphone which only accept postal delivery.
With mobiles co - I use the online submission form (taking screenshots to prove I sent something). And if something goes wrong, then I would use recorded post. Being quick to claim is key to cashbacks too.0 -

You may find that will change when you use mobiles.co.uk :rotfl:

Silk - have you ever claimed cashback from mobiles ?
I have made two claims in last two weeks using the online submission, first for myself and cheque arrived within 14 days of me submitting the bill online.
Second for a relative, submitted claim yesterday online, emails today and its been paid and cheque on its way.0
