I'm so glad she's made her mind up. :) Just be sure to try to keep her from her BF as much as you can. Obviously don't say "you can't see him" But if he starts giving her greif then she could develop some problems in the pregnancy.

Oh and get some folic acid in her ;)

Thanks for the update. It is good to hear that she was able to come to her decision and knowing that she has you and your wife to support her will be so helpful for her. wonder what the bf and his family will think now knowing that their pressure hasn't worked. Good counselling like this is invaluable. My prayers are with you all for the future.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I'm so happy she has made this decision! I think it was obvious from the posts that she wanted the baby.

OP - you should really be very proud of the way you handled this.
Also - have you told your daughter that you hoped she would decide to keep the baby, if not I think you should, so she knows the baby has been wanted all along

    Good luck with everything

Ah Taxi, now you've gone and made me cry again!

Congratulations to you and Mrs T not only on being grandparents but for being so brilliant throughout this. I know from experience what a shock to the system it is but it sounds to me like you couldn't have handled it better. Your daughter sounds like a lovely and wise girl too, and I'm sure as a threesome you will be able to resist the digs and persuasion of the other family. This baby is a very lucky one to be born into your family.

I'm sure her relationship with the BF will become secondary to the baby now, so if he is stupid enough (or controlled by his parents enough) to walk away that will be his loss, not hers. In his situation my son did a complete about-face once he got used to the idea, so your girl might find she has both the things she wants. Time will tell.

On a practical note, I don't know if you have any good car boot sales near you, but we have kitted DS and GF out with everything they need for very little money, all of it in perfect condition and barely used. Don't forget to haggle!

Do keep us updated over the coming months Taxi, I'm sure I'm not the only person wanting to know how it all goes.

And congratulations again to all of you, it's wonderful news and I can't believe I can be so happy for someone I've never even met!
Oh dear, here we go again.

Haha, well I must admit I felt a bit odd: "Dear Lord, please give taxi36 from MSE's daughter the strength and courage to make the right decision!" I hope all goes well for the future and with the scans etc. I think you should be proud of the way you've handled this.

;) Dont worry , "him upstairs" knows me very well lately , we have spent plenty of time talking lately so Im sure he knew just WHO you were referring to ;)
