I'm sorry you felt you were not in a happy place yesterday but actually, your post sounded quite positive. Maybe it's the way you tell them! You realise how your mother makes you feel so your mind wandered whilst she was spouting nonsense. I think it is great that you want to build up your beautician business and I say go for it! Hard work and determination pays. If you can use your creative ways to make money too, that is great also. It all sounds positive. Good for you! :j

Morning lost and nervous, have you just stumbled across your diary this morning.

Just wanting to give you a big (hug) with everything thats gone on recently.
Im glad DH came to the rescue with the £250 with the wage situation.

Well done on making £33 on ebay thats fab :T.
Im sure you will get your business up and running soon, I mean everyone will always need waxing etc!!

Re DH not knowing about you being on here, I hid the fact that I was on here from my DH for the best part of a year!! So I do know where you are coming from on that score!!

Keep strong for your little girl and youve made the first steps now, so it can only get better from now on.

I am so glad that you recognise that you have talents you can exploit. Start small and do something original that other people will covet. I have a friend who makes and sells personalised greetings cards.

Thank you for your wonderful reply, I am happy that you can see positives from it, to be honest I just rant to get the negatives out but its so nice to be able to look at it from your view (if that makes sense) I am feeling positive about it. I will succeed! Its not going to be over night but it will happen!

Good morning everyone,

Had a lovely surprise from OH yesterday when he got in from work, he is taking us all to the seaside for the weekend, says we deserve a little weekend away. My head is saying its so bad, havent got the money, could do with a weekend at home ebaying etc but is treating us and wants to get away for a couple of days. So lovely and suppose it will do my head good even if he doesnt know whats going on in it. I do feel bad though.

I picked up a little notebook (not very MSE) but over the weekend whilst OH and DD are playing in the sand I can make a few notes on goals etc as my head is jambled with all sorts of things I want to do/try to make/sell in order to achieve my debt free status. I know this month isnt really one to go by as wages/money is very tight but I will remain positive and I will not be beaten.

I am also waiting for a payment of £17 on ebay for a few items sold :j I wont be able to post now until I get back but it is bank holiday weekend.

Good idea with the notebook - sometimes writing things down can quite a theraputic experience, helping to clarify and sort out information in your mind.

Awwww lost thats lovely that DH is taking you away for the weekend, you deserve it so enjoy the time away .

I dont know if ive missed this bit but does DH know about the debt?
You see my DH didnt and so I could never let him know I was on here cos then my secret would be out. The only people that knew about the debt were the people reading and posting in my diary .

It all came out in December when we started receiving phone calls about a missed payment and I had no alternative but to tell him. He was so shocked at first but then he was sad to see that I had been hiding this secret to myself for so long. I seriously thought if I told him he would divorce me, thats how against credit he is! But he was so supportive and although its been hard we are through the worst now.

The weekend after it all came out it snowed really badly and all 4 of us went out sledging. I felt like a completely different person at this point cos I knew I had nothing to hide. Where as previously I wouldnt have enjoyed this time with my little family as id have so much flying round in my head and also thinking has the post man been whilst were out!

So I guess what im trying to say is enjoy this weekend with your little family cos everyone needs a break and some fun sometimes. Sorry for rambling!! x x
