  • I have just spoken to Tax credits, not very helpful, gave them all the figures, kept rambling on about things that I really did not understand one bit, she told me that my payments will resume as before but then when I asked when the payments will start she told me that they may not depending on the calculations and I will need to wait for a letter to come through. Oh well it was worth a try. Onwards and upwards. xx

    Hi Lost

I find some of the tax credit people a bit of a nightmare to deal with too . Others know exactly what they are doing and are very helpful . Now that you have called them they will send you an award notice in the post and it probably won't take too long to get to you. That will tell you right away if you are going to get credits, how much and when. At least you have dealt with that bit, it's just a case of waiting :( If they say no, you haven't lost anything. If they say yes you're laughing :rotfl:

I don't know anything about burning papers, sorry. Not helpful :o

Good that you have stuff to list on ebay. I tried selling on ebay once. After all the fees were taken off from ebay and from paypal I was left with 38p  Not sure where I went wrong.

    Must get on now.

  • I havent been on for a few days, I have been feeling really down and have closed myself away. I have yet again no money, I am feeling mentally down and challenged (within myself that is, I sometimes really struggle to get motivated in my head and if I have far too much going round in it with things to do, things I want to do, problems I am experiencing and also thinking far too ahead) I get down and stay in, shut myself in and generally feel very sad.

I know that in my life I am lucky and there is always someone else out there worst off, but its all to do with me.

Having tough time in relationship, OH can be lovely but can also be very difficult. I cant tell him that I yet again have no money cause he wont be happy. At all! its so sad that as a grown woman in a relationship i cant talk to him. He is great, and really thoughtful but to be honest with you all I do feel alone sometimes and find it hard to open up with him, I feel when we talk about anything I am being lectured, he doesnt talk with he talks at! I much prefer to get on with things myself instead of asking him. I cant believe how much I am opening up.

The money thing is really getting to me, I have everything ready to start listing on ebay but due to my demanding OH I just havent had the time. I have started to plan my days now on a sheet of paper to incorporate everything I do on a daily basis and I need to really start to stick to it so during the day I can do as much as I can before he gets home. So sad isnt it. He demands my attention.

The money thing is getting to me, I just dont know what to do at the moment. It just seems to be a nasty spiral. But I think that this month has been exceptionally hard.

Good news though, the letter I sent re PPI, they sent me a letter to say that they should have their decision within 14 days. Fingers crossed.

Its been very negative this post. But I am on a negative down hill at the moment.

My notebook isnt doing too good. I have started to write in it but havent got very far, I suppose its finding private time as OH needs to know everything I write down/do - so nosey.

Anyway I am sorry for being negative, I will try to look back on the positive side of life! xxx

I wonder if your OH realise how little money you have compared to what you had when working full time?

It might be worth sitting down and doing a joint budget with him, I know I always support seperate finances when people say it's weird BUT in your situation with a child together and your lower earning capacity you really should be working as a team financially.

Don't worry about being negative on here sometimes you need a shoulder to cry on or a push to get you back on track, keep posting and you will get there.

Hi Lost!! It's great to see you back :) Noticed you hadn't been on for a few days.

Being a girl myself, I don't understand men :( Mr Gap can be quite complicated at times. However, at least he is not as bad as ex-Mr Gap (Little Miss's dad) I had to account for every penny I spent, take receipts back to show him and explain where I had been every minute of the day  Enough said about that.

Sorry you are feeling low. It is just one of those negative times. Remember, there is another positive just around the corner :D It is good you can put how you are feeling in this diary. The best thing about it is people are reading it and can either sympathise or feel for you.

I'm not sure of your exact situation but like nearlyrich says, because you have DD together you should be working as a team. I know he doesn't know about the debt but it would be good if he could give you a bit extra since you earn less. Obviously up to you though in your life and relationship.

Sorry, had to run off earlier. Little Miss and Step-Little Miss were warring again  Meant to say, yes, it was 38p for one item. Is that where I went wrong?

Heading off to bed shortly as been a long day. Hope you are feeling more positive by the time you read this :D

  • Good morning,

Nearlyrich and Gap I will reply to your posts later but its just a flying visit as off to work in a bit!

I just wanted to update I have received my avon account number :j time to focus on getting started! Do any of you think I would be able to include a leaflet for my beauty business? May be a good way of advertising but not sure if its allowed.

Also my notebook is coming on a treat! Ideas I have got I have written them down in it, I have found an old lock away cash tin which I am going to put money in towards car, petrol for the month, and then I have an old account one of those basic ones which I am going to put money towards debts in so can pay off in one lump when bills come in. Hopefully it will help me budget better for some things as when it comes to mot/tax that goes on the credit card and petrol well pretty much the same. I also need to work out everything we have food wise and do a proper shopping list/budget! And try to get OH to cough up more, he has wound me up so much over the last few days, to the point I cant speak to him without getting defensive because he has been really on my case about things.

I am off for now, have a wonderful day and thank you for taking the time to read my post. xxx

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, well he knows that I have obviously had a reduction in wages cause of my hours but he is oblivious to the bills let alone the debt. The debt I am dealing with myself but as for the utility bills, because I have the 'smaller' ones he thinks I should have lots of money. But he doesnt realise that those 'small' bills are no longer small, everything is getting expensive! And as for shopping, the first time he really helped me and paid for it he freaked  I went in did my usual shop, he added some bits he wanted and then freaked out at the till and moaned for days about it! I thought to myself hang on most of that is your food and bits!

I would never have a joint bank account well anything with him to be honest, my credit rating would destroy his! :o

Thank you so much for being so kind, everyone is so kind on here. Its wonderful. xxx

Hi Gap, sorry to hear that you too have been involved with a nightmare of a mr gap but good news that he is in the past and you have found a better mr gap but you are right how could we understand them. :D

I think i am overcoming the negative time well until 5 mins ago when had a wasted phonecall with OH and being informed he is having half day leave today isn't what I wanted to hear, it really bugs me as he always seems to be at home at the moment, I know most people would love it but I feel I cant get on with things as he wants me to be in the same room, if Im not is under my feet, and then wonders why I dont get things done. All cause he has annual leave owing from last year.

I am all up for getting more money off of him to help with my situation but its the moaning from him that I cant handle. I tend to just keep quiet. I think I need to start gathering information now and then I can produce the exact figures to him. :)

    Thank you xxx
