Why not put £10 towards a cc and keep £10 in your purse? Remember that the £10 is yours to do what you want with and then when you want it, it will be there.

Have some lunch then get yourself out to the pound shop. A walk and some fresh air will probably do you and Little Lost some good. Wrap you both up warm though.

I hope you don't think I'm being bossy, it is not meant like that and I don't mean to be sounding like I am telling you what to do. They are just suggestions :D I really want you to be happy. xxx
    Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
    Mortgage today = £161,690.76
    300 271 payments to go.
    House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000

Thats a good idea, a really good idea, I dont need much but as you know I do love a poundshop and I havent been in one for couple of weeks and I really want to start getting gardening bits for my new summer hobby. But still feel guilty.

Dd is having a nap so I have been ebaying, will see what mood shes in when she wakes up, may leave it till tomorrow if shes a bit happier. I am on a roll at the moment. It has got so cold hasnt it.

I dont think you are being bossy, you are being my friend. You have given me inspiration and good ideas. Thank you xxxx

  • Picking myself up again after a little down moment. My mental health still isnt right but its all about dealing with the things which are lingering in my mind and preventing me from doing things. Its about working with myself to achieve and without you all and this diary I would still be going round in circles.

I have a new diary, a diary for extra money and any extra work which I need to book in. As strange as it seems but I keep looking at it and the pages are so crisp and pretty. I dont want to muck it up, but I know its somewhere where I will be able to reflect on things and keep on top of things. It was on my desk at work so thank you very much. I got one for work so I saw it as a opportunity. And its a page per day even on the weekend.

I just want to sort things out. xxx

You are definitely heading in the right direction.

Is Little Lost teething at the moment? Or maybe she is feeling a bit under the weather. There is a lot going round at the moment.

I got a call from the school just after 1pm to say Little Miss had hurt herself in PE and they wanted me to collect her from school and have it checked out. I left work and picked her up. Took her to sick kids. Luckily she had just staved her fingers, they are all swollen :( She feels much better now though! At least they were not broken.

How was your afternoon? Did you get to the pound shop?

  • 24 items listed on ebay, of which have total watchers of 16 and 2 bids! Its such a nice feeling knowing I can list!

Made meatballs with spaghetti, out of 1 onion, 1 tomato, 1 pepper, 2 slices of bread, and 1 normal size mince meat Ive got a meal for me, 2 for OH and 4 for DD!!! All for just under £2 I would say!

Been looking at other ways of collecting clubcard points today, I am determined DD will get a little holiday this year! I wont be taking bags to Mr Ts any more, I am going to recycle my tins and try and find out if I get any points for glass jars as I have loads out back, also petrol, couple of the cheaper bits from there and need to find out if I can with anything else. Quiet exciting.

I have been really bad today and its discusting, I havent had a shower yet or even got dressed but I suppose I am saving on water and electricity and also on washing more clothes. Sorry to admit that I just had to. Think its to do with my 'feeling' down morning. xxx

  • Good morning diary and friends! I am up again and got my busy head on!

Had a look at the flylady thread, looks like a rota like they have would work well for me, something written down, in my new 'home' folder. Something to think about.

So whats in store today? Am going to walk into town to the poundshop, am thinking I may have to get the bus back if I do get some pots as they will be big ones. But I think the bus is only £1.70 back so it would work out cheaper than driving as petrol would be about £2 - £3 then parking about £1 so it would cost alot more. So I am money saving even though am treating us. Am going to take DD to play place today, thats £1.50 but she deserves it and hasnt been for a couple of weeks.

Need to list more MORE on ebay today, I am on a roll now. I need to make money. I have some small cook books which I will never use all of the recipies so am going to scan the ones I want, sell the book!

Have a good day everyone xx

Great that you are able to list on ebay now.

    Have a lovely day xxx

  • Hi Lost

Can't believe how organised you are - I have all these ideas but never put them into practice!!

If DH gives you money again make sure it is just for you - buying pots for veg to save money is not something for you - you should have a massage or buy a new top or something - sorry getting stern there :rotfl:

I know I tell you all this but I never do it for myself

I had to laugh when OH went shopping and complained about the cost, I think it is easy just to assume that prices have stayed the same for years. Hopefully he will be happy to help out more.

^ there somewhere I mentioned splitting the bills on a percentage share but I just wanted to say that whatever works for you as a couple is fine. DH and I split the bills equally even when I earnt less than him even though I didn't agree with it. Now my income is the same as him but I have quite a bit of spare income as my debt payments are not as high as his. I have to feel sorry for him at the moment as he is poorly and has been for a year but still goes to work as he needs the money although I did say he could go on the sick and then go bankrupt (although this would impact on my job so would need to sever all financial ties)

Hope you have a good weekend.
  • The weekend is here and its time to get cracking on the ebaying and trying to make some money. Phone calls to make, listing to be done, a bit of cleaning I suppose.

I went to the pound shop yesterday and picked up 2 big pots, will get some more when I next go down there. I took £15 out with me and used it well and came back with some change (61p) Took DD to play place oh she had a lovely time, she really did. I had a nice chat with some mums and really enjoyed it. I am so nervous with it all when I first walk in but it makes such a difference when you start talking. We then walked to town, got some bits I needed for the kitchen (freezer bags/boxes, some snacky bits for DD which are cheaper down there, 2 pots, an anniversary and birthday card, and a little doll for DD which need to take back as the arm has fallen off, it was only a £1 but still) and I got the bus home £1.80 (expensive but normally I would have walked back but the pots were big) and got some cake making bits so can do with DD today as something fun as will b ebusy doing bits, that way we can have some afternoon tea.

I have just checked my bank account and Child benefit has gone in so thats a nice surprise. Didnt think it went in till next week. :j:j:j

Relisted 4 items for free listing, so am pleased about that. Once I have tidied the kitchen I am going to crack on with the listing.

    Well off for now! xx
