I am with First Direct and have just gone through the last 6 years worth of statements, here are the charges, can I claim for them both?
1. Overdraft Fee - charged every time I use my overdraft
2. Excess Overdraft Fee - charged whenever I go over the overdraft limit
Thanks in advance0 -
Natweststaffmember,donaldtramp- is it a service fee for additional service or just for going over an overdraft, it the latter then it is claimable.
The only thing that the statements say is that the £8.50 I was charged was an
"Account Maintenance Charge"
Each letter says,Charges for the period(insert whichever month)are as follows:-
Account maintenance charge £8.50
Total charge £8.50
The above charge will be debited to your account no XXX on XXX
I received no service whatsoever for this charge it was just applied to my account when I was overdrawn over my limit. I reckon I should claim for these as well, What do you think??
As always, any advice greatly received
Cheers

On my statement I have "unauthorised borrowing fee," " Overdraft usage fee," "overdraft interest fee," "overdraft excess fee," and "service charge." What can I claim back for?! I think I can't include the interest one but not sure about the others.0
