    cheers chris

Its not the amount of the charges you need to worry about its what the charges are for. Phone the bank if you are unsure as to what the charges are and check the list in post 4 in the Reclaim Help Thread, link in my signature.

Well I have just received my statements. Anyway, I found a charge on 3rd march for £28.00 and then I get onto the 31march, and on the details part of my statement it actually says 3mar a/c (my account number..) then withdrawn part is £28.00 so is this another charge for 3rd march or the same one?
    it's v.confusing!

go along with a calculator and work out if they have deducted 28 or £56. Id say they've taken it twice personally.

  • Just recived all my bank statements back from RBS and went through all my charges. Please could someone advise if you can claim back the charges from the Royalties Gold Account I normally get the charge for the A/c say £10 but some time it's £30 or £40. I know there is a charge for the Royalties Gold Account but are they allowed to do that as well as charge for unpaid items and referral charges!!!

As you signed for a Royalties Account they can of course charge you for it. If they have lumped the charges together you need to go through and take off the Royalties charge amount. At some stage it was £12 so you need to check with RBS at which dates they changed the charge amount.

Neither of these arrangement fees can be claimed.

I'm not sure about that Edinburgh. If the charges and management fees were imposed[/I] by the bank for increasing the overdraft to cover the fees it might be claimable..?
