ryannorfolk wrote:Hi Edinburghlass, thanks for that. I've just phoned the bank and they don't know what the different commission amounts are for lol. They want another £5 (and 40 days) to send me the breakdown. I used your template letter and pointed out I'd asked for 'a fully comprehensive list' and the 40 days started from when I sent the original letter. She apologised and said she'd get it in the post ASAP. Thanks again for all your help.
Thats good news and its shows the power of knowledge when you phone them!0 -
Hi, I am very confused as to what I can claim back. I have an account charge which I pay each month for a agreed O/Draft limit but over the last 6 years I have gone over this. I have had all my statements back and find various amounts of O/Draft Interest which have been added each month, can I claim back the added O/Draft Interest or not.

just another quick question.
Are the banks allowed to charge Personal Loan Arrangement Fees?

I have a platinum current account with Lloyds bank which charges £15/month if the balance is under £3000.
Without realising this I have been charged £15/month since 2004 amounting to almost £500 in charges.
HELP! Am I eligible to claim back these fees?
Thanks in advance.0 -

My experience working with the Bank of Scotland was that they charged arrangement fees on accounts but that was 4 years ago. Normally they tell you that there will be an x amount loan arrangement fee and I would imagine that the loan agreement you signed held a clause that you would be charged a non-refundable loan arrangement fee. I wouldn't think you could claim that back, but hopefully a mod will know more about this issue.
