Hello, I am very nervous of doing this wrong - my HSBC statements have two DR areas a month - interest, and total charges. When I type my Excel claim list of charges, do I include this interest figure? Read somewhere about this only happens when you go to court?
Thanks, Sharon£216 saved 24 October 20140 -
You can't claim the normal interest for going overdrawn. If you have a query regarding what your banks terms are please phone them to check. Read Martin's article regarding the interest you can claim at the court stage.

Account Fee could be one. Do they have a "packaged account" - which offers travel insurance etc for a monthly fee? Account Fee could apply to that.
Maintenance Charge is a possible one too. Are none of them listed on the back of the statement? You could always ring the bank if you are really stumped.0 -
Please help,
If i'm being charged £20 for going over my overdraft, do I try and claim back the £20 or do I deduct anything from that amount. Let's say a £2 spend made me go over and thus a £20 charge, do I claim the £20 or take £2 off and claim £18???
Many thanks0
