    Abbreviations such as?..
  • If you don't know what terms Barclays use on their statements, phone your local bank and ask them.
  • I have just started going through my HSBC statements online. And found a Charge for Temp. Limit Fee, can I reclaim this??

    Thanks In Advance

    hiya,

I posted a message saying that the bank statments from the Co -op were very unclera, listing thinsg such as:

    1) commission
    2) debit interest
    3) fees

    Unfortunately no-one replied :-(
Obviously, I can phone the bank, but I'm not sure how to put the question, when I really want to ask them..

"which of the above charges can I reclaim from you?"

    Any advice appreciated.

    ta,

You can't claim the interest, but you need to phone the bank to ask them why the fees, and commision were charges. Don't ask them whether you can reclaim these, just ask them what these were charges for. Once they tell you, tell us, and we'll do our best to advise you.

  • I found this site recently and am about to start the ball rolling after recieving another letter from my bank re:overdraft charges.

Basically, am I claiming for the maintenance charge of £28.00 (overdraft)after I went over my limit for 3 days!! due to the bank allowing money to be taken out,

or the Overdraft interest accured of £24.41.

Both are highlighted on my 'advice of service charge letter for period 23 december - 24 jan'.

    ......or both?

Im am aiming to start my first letter tomorrow.

    Thanks,

    Dave:beer:
