Love to join the thread!! I'm getting married in the Summer hols next year - 27th July 2012.

I'm an Exams Officer at an all girls secondary comp. Hope I can qualify?!!!!!!

It's so great to share everything with similar minded people I finished my NQT in July but am now starting this September in a new school... nervous times!!

I've been engaged since the end of March this year (so 5 months, eeeeeek that's gone quicker than I thought!!!), but me and H2B have been together for 8 years, childhood sweethearts at just 15 and 17!!

So far we have booked the church and reception venue and paid deposits for both. We've also started buying things for our sweet buffet and are in the process of arranging our honeymoon (hoping to go on a Californian roadtrip!) We're extremely lucky in that I have an amazing family who have offered to do loads for us, including buy my dress, organise the catering, arrange the photographer, design and make the invites, arrange the wedding cars and organise decorations. So much so in fact that I feel at a loss of what else to do as it seems everyone else is doing it!!

TC, you'll be fine once you get back into the swing of things. It'll feel like you never left! As for your new name, you'll probably have the children calling you by your last name for a while

My wedding day was fantastic. It went much better than I thought it would and lots of people commented on all the personal touches we had added into the day, so it was worth it in the end!



I've also had some other very exciting news since the wedding but not told anyone yet so it's all got to be kept quiet, eek!

Welcome to the forum Dolly! I finished my NQT year in 2010 and I'm going into my third year of teaching... Time flies!

Welcome to the forum minipesky! I'm moving into Year 2 from Reception (I go back tomorrow )

I have a few things booked and sorted, registrar, venue, photographer, food, dress, 3 bridesmaids dresses, cake maker, cars, OH has his suits sorted and just needs to book them, have bought shoes, jewellery and tiara, hair and make up is sorted. There's probably other stuff but my mind's full of school!

Oh course you qualify FutureCooper! I think I should've put "anyone who is linked to a school in any way!"

oh I can't wait for the holidays, lots booked since I was last on here. Got h2b to agree to a videographer and we've booked not 1, but 2 honeymoons....

We are going to Paris the Monday after the wedding (for 5 nights) and then in the easter holidays (2nd april) we are off to NYC for 8 days!! so, so so excited. Loving my class, year 1 again (3rd year!!) ... and SENCo role this year so busily doing the SENCo qualification with uni - 3 presentations, 3 assignments and a portfolio!! ... and then Iget to write a dissertation and get my masters!!

YAY!

We've booked our main honeymoon... Well we've booked the flights and just need to decide how long we're spending in each area (we're hiring a car and driving from Munich to Saltzburg to various other places... So excited!)

Work is manic, I had parents evening this week which went well (tho I lost my voice the week before so was worried it wouldn't be back!)

My new class are growing on me... Positive sign! I cannot wait until half term tho... Just for some time to myself and time to sort wedding related stuff out.

One more week! :T

Hope everyone's settling back into school life as best as they can.

Well I've already had the cold so hopefully all will be well during half term!

5 days to go! Monday is PPA so technically 4 and a half days to go...

I'm wishing work away but then realising that with each week that goes, it's a week closer to getting married! Eeeek!

I have only got to teach one day this week - monday we are off to the cinema, tuesday I am on a crisp course (sen) wednesday is my ususal SENCo time/PPA in afternoon, thursday I will teach and friday is parent consultation day! (like parents evening but all day!!) xx
