Awww TC1978, not long now!

I'm still going into school to sort my classroom out as I've moved rooms... I'm getting there and will be able to finish it once the cleaners have finished!

Our invitations arrived today, my friend from primary school has been exceptionally kind and has made them as a wedding gift, all we have to do is write the inserts and make the reply slips and info brochure things...

I'm loving the weather atm too... Hopefully we'll have a proper summer holiday and people's weddings will be blessed with the sun

I'm just psyching myself up to pop my head into the classroom and see how much of a mess I left it in. Left in such a hurry to get married the weekend after we broke up that I've absolutely no idea how much prep work I've done, and how much more needs sorting!! Just got to get used to the new name....

I'm surprised that no-one else (as yet!) has chosen to get married next year in the school holidays!

Welcome to the thread missymoo and congrats :j

There are a few of us taking advantage of the Jubilee double bank holiday (which is also the delayed Whitsun holiday) for the wedding (tho if I'm correct we get that extra bank holiday off in January before we go back to school after the Christmas hols.)

How far are you with your planning?

My wedding day was fantastic. It went much better than I thought it would and lots of people commented on all the personal touches we had added into the day, so it was worth it in the end!



I've also had some other very exciting news since the wedding but not told anyone yet so it's all got to be kept quiet, eek!

I'm getting married in August 2013 (long time away yet) and have just finished my NQT year so looking forward to a year where I have a better idea of what I'm doing...though there is always surprises in teaching!! hehe

I too am a newbie, and a teacher who is getting married April 7th 2012! Argh! Only been engaged 3 weeks, can't believe I have a wedding date. Also starting a new job on Monday in Year 1 (after having a year off maternity!) and finishing my NQT (last term) soooooo it's all go for me! Lovely to chat to fellow teachers - I'm hoping I'll be uber organised at school and not let it take over my evenings.

So how organised are well all so far? I have venue & registrar...that's it. eek!

Yes he does, we found out on honeymoon! Had our first doctors appointment today and if everything goes as planned we will have our very own mini-me in April!

Congratulations minipesky Bet it doesn't quite feel real yet! I've been engaged 4months and I still have moments where I can't believe I'm getting married! hehe

I have my venue and registrar booked, have just arranged a meeting with the caterers and we are hoping to meet with some photographers soon! I still have sooo long to wait though!
