However, I already know them as they were the other Reception class when I was in Reception so hopefully I shall remember all their names (and the cheeky ones!)

Scary thing is I'm teaching them in what will be my new classroom and it's not actually sorted out yet (it used to be a spare room for people to put spare resources, furniture etc) so I'm hoping it'll "do" for the three days and then I can perfect when the children have left.

I'm staying in year 1 (hurrah) have taught yr 2 before - it's a lovely yr group and will be fab that you already know them

My kids will know me as Miss P until feb half term then I become Mrs W ... (my kids do actually call me Miss P too... Mrs W doesn't roll off the tongue - does it? ) my class name will stay as 1P until september though as our secetray can't change class names mid year

I can't wait for the hols - so much to do. As from tomorrow my count down goes into 6 months and 3 weeks to go ... - getting close!!

I'm not a teacher or a TA but my fianc!e is - getting narried in the 6 week holidays after which she starts a new job at a new school. Obv with schools everyone is called Mr or Miss or Mrs - in my job everyone is known by their first name so not such a big deal!

Less than 2 weeks to go and starting to feel the strain!

You all seem to be finishing for the summer a lot earlier than me! We don't finish until the 27th!

3 weeks to go on Saturday. We've just had our final costings through for the reception food and drinks and after adding it to our costings spreadsheet we have actually gone over our initial budget by about £1000. Whoops! :eek:

Not been in this thread for a while, so thought I'd jump back in! Break up the 22nd, getting married 30th! Think we're just about sorted wedding wise. Reports go out Monday, so I've just been sat checking through them again and making sure I've got all the right names and he's and she's in the right places!! Thankfully, I'm staying in Y5 next year, planning is just about sorted and in a big box in my stock cupboard ready to get out on September 3rd!

We've paid the 'interim deposit' to the hotel, paid the church, I checked with suit hire people that everything is ok and they can be collected next Tuesday, our little MG is ready to be collected next Tuesday too- will be good to be reunited with it in full working order again! I've had my set of wedding nails done tonight so in two weeks they'll be perfect length.
Dress fitting was done in PPA time on Tuesday- thought I'd walk out with it, but needed further adjustments! Now being collected on 26th July, just 4 days before wedding- my organisational skills are on edge!

It's my hen day on Saturday at the races and if I'm still standing, out afterwards!

I'm sadly packing up my classroom, hate this job it's horrible. Leaving here next Friday and off to part time teaching/back to uni next year!

Will also be changing my name after June half term, will be very strange!

3 days of work left for me and 2 weeks to go until I get married!

Feeling a mixture of all sorts of emotions at the moment, I feel like a teenager!

Seems odd that we're now on the school hols- feels different this year.... probably because I'm getting married in 6 days and life has just entered a new dimension of chaos! Actually, we're pretty much organised with everything- it's just the logistics of everything that will take place from Wednesday onwards. Son is on a 3 day football course Mon- Wed, so between 10am- 2pm I have to cram as much in as I can. Starting with Monday, it's house tidying; Tuesday will be collecting my dress, taking it to Mum's, possibly cutting greenery, putting oasis into soak.... at this point in time the list seems endless and I'm just hoping that I can get a bit of rest in somewhere!
