Well, we have got quite a lot done this half term after all!

Picked up the flowers and am so pleased with them! I was a bit worried about having fake flowers but they look gorgeous!

Ordered our rings, well we had to order h2b ring, they had mine in the right size in stock so I have it here now. I keep trying to on though and h2b keeps wanting to practice putting it on. :D

Have chased up most of our RSVPs. Still haven't heard anything from a couple of h2b cousins even though he has txt, called and emailed!!! Really annoyed at that.

Had our registrar meeting, got to meet both the ladies who will be doing the ceremony too! Apparently that's really unusual! So all the vow choices have been decided and all our ceremony music and it feels just a bit more real now! :j

Have also finally booked a hair trial, need to find a hair clip now and still need to sort out a make up trial.

Oh, also bought my wedding underwear! ;)

Still need to organise a day to confirm food choices and numbers with the venue. That needs to be done pretty soon actually.

I'm finally starting to feel like we're nearly there though!

Have got the church, venue, my dress, the bridesmaids dresses, a prop box, and a million other "decorations", know what I am doing for the favours - gingerbread biscuits and 5 chocs. just ments suits to sort and make a million things like invites etc - how about you?xx

So far I've ticked these off the list...
    • venue
    • registrar (deposit paid)
    • wedding dress (deposit paid)
    • 3 bridesmaids dresses (fourth is being TOO fussy!)
    • Photographer (deposit paid)
    • DJ (provisionally booked)
    • Cake maker (deposit paid) - just looking up designs
    • Car (deposit paid)
    • Flowers (deposit paid)
    • Pre-provisionally booked hair & make up etc!
    • Have sorted out ring designs and I'm awaiting the price
    • Sorted out my jewellery
    • Bought my shoes
    • Invitation design has been sorted (my friend is making them)
I've found the shoes for the bridesmaids (just need to check sizes!) OH is looking at suits as some point within the next year (Lol, his mum's trying to get him motivated much to his annoyance!)

    Still loads to do tho!

Also changed the date on the front page... Don't know why I put 17th instead of 11th, 1 is no-where near 7!
Planned our wedding, still planning lessons

Hellie as long as you have your dress and the underwear all will be fine! Lol! ;)

With regards to your H2B's family... Some people feel that they don't need to reply (even tho it would help you a lot with final numbers) - I hope you get it sorted soon :)

Glad you got the registrar stuff sorted... Meeting them will always put your mind at rest :)

I'm just a bit giddy today, as a year today I get married... At half 2 I pointed that out to the OH, laughed nervously and nearly fell over... Giddy excitement I think!

How long do you have left until the big day Hellie?

    Wow, very organised winterbride!

It's a shame we lose out on that 0.5 of a week during the summer hols :(

Loving the use of the props for a photobooth... Everyone loves dressing up! :D

I have 2 months today until the wedding!

I've been engaged since October 2009 and back then waiting until August 2011 felt like forever... now I feel like I'm rushed with a few things, although I can't wait for the day to finally arrive. It's been a long time coming. :rotfl:
  • Hi everyone,

I'm getting married 28th July 2012 and the wedding is coming along slowly but surely. I'm currently waiting to start supply teaching after a really bad experience at my previous school so I didn't want to rush into a new school without knowing about the school before I start. So I have had a few weeks to try to do some wedding planning instead of lesson planning!

Hope the first week back after half term is going well for everyone!
  • how is everyone getting on?
