Well here's a wee bit of info for you then 72 hours, three days after sex.

Are we really needing to get into sex education on the benefit forum, really?

Once your Child is School age, it can still be a struggle with School Holidays and Inset Days (if you work), getting time off work and paying for School Holiday Clubs, $20 (pounds) a day here per Child.

I have had a 2 year career break to bring my Daughter up, but from May she is old enough to go to Nursery (15 hours free per week). I am thinking about returning to work full time, not because I want to, but because I need the money to support my family and I don't know if I would ever be offered the chance of full time work again by my current employer.

Whilst I was on my career break, I received child benefit and tax credit money and my Husband supported us.

:rotfl: So it's okay for you to say well what happens if the condem splits or she forgets to take her pill, but no one is actually allowed to reply with a sensible answer. We should just say nae worries love, the state will pick up the tab.

Maybe i misread, but what has that to do with the op's situation?. as far as she knows she is in full health. if you know you are ill or likely to be that would be down to you if you still have children.

I am sorry maybe i am having a blonde moment.?

Those comments were under mitchyjules quoted comment saying it was a "right to have children", it's not uncommon on here for topics to go off on tangents!

Well you haven't given a sensibile answer. You gave a flippant one liner stating the morning after pill which as MessedUp stated isn't 100% protection. You then tried to be flippant with the sex education answer, which didn't quite work out.

My comment refered to what you would do if an accident happened? for instance a condom split or you forgot to take the pill and you found out you were pregnant. The sensibile thing on paper would be to have an abortion wouldn't it..? I mean if you are doing it the correct way and can't afford it.

But with all the best planning in the world you cannot forsee the future and you can't live your life that way.

This has well deviated from the subject now though, so i shan't comment further.

wow your allowed £50 a month for the hairdressers? i don't even spend that a year

we have no summer schemes here so sumemr holidays would be a nightmare if i worked (my eldest 2 are starting primary school next sep) jobs in schools are few and far between, so that wouldn't work for us, i'm not that fussy i'd do pretty much anything but there just isn't any jobs, i know someone who's been unemployed for 3 years and she has no kids to resrict her hours, she recently started looking after her sisters child just to get a few pennies there really is no jobs here

as for all this talk of morning after pills sometimes you just don't know til it's too late, and as for abortion well i'm from n.i and they are illegal here except for medicial grounds but even if it wasn't i wouldn't even consider it, however that maybe due to my upbringing

Your best bet is to look for a part time job, and try to work when your partner's at home
But do not jack your job in - you'll get no benefits for at least 6 weeks as you'll be classed as making yourself intentionally unemployed!

The OP already works part time - this is the job she's planning to leave.

No one can prevent pregnancies 100% (unless of course you don't have sex) but the finger crossing method is by far the worst, you didn't like my reply because it was sensible. And you didn't like it when you had to be educated that the morning after pill can be taken 72 hours afterwards ;) so that threw your little drama even further down the drain. So to think you have the upper hand you finish off with saying this thread has gone off topic and as such i will not be responding ;) But it was Okay when it was you taking it off topic.
