Why do some people never leave feedback?

I have been selling on Ebay for years now and still wonder why some people do not leave feedback. Okay so some may not leave as they feel a little embarrassed by doing so (believe it or not one Ebayer said they where). Some because they do not think they got what they wanted and sooner than leave bad feedback, leave non. But has anyone (Ebay) ever done a survey to find out why? I have never actually worked out what percentage of mine do so. Is there any program or Ebay tool that can work this out? Has anyone ever questioned customers why?

I suspect most of the people who don't leave feedback are just lazy!

I also suspect if you ask them to do so, they could well get shirty and give you a neutral for 'giving them hassle', so I wouldn't recommend approaching them.

It's annoying when you feel that you've delivered a 5-star service that the buyer can't be bothered to spend 5-10 seconds writing the words "thank you", but that's life - there's nothing you can really do about it ... just move on to the next customer. :D

Why don't all people leave feedback? easy, because they don't have to.

Many people see it as a monumental waste of time, so leave it or don't, it is completely voluntary.

I sell for the money, not for the thanks.

I sell for money as well but it still bugs me when i clear my sales down and archive them, the amount of people I have to archive over the 60 day limit.

Just choose a different system them for archiving that does not rely on receiving feedback. I don't archive any of my sales, I like to see them all on the ebay pages until ebay wipe them off as it is easier for me to spot trends. My books for HMRC are all based on income received as well so feedback makes no difference at all as I am not taxed on that (thank heavens!)

Do you give feedback when you use a shop?
Some people are just shopping when they are on ebay.

I'm one of the guilty ones who doesn't always do feedback - generally it's because I don't buy much, rarely go on ebay, and I just forget to get round to it.
I'm usually full of good intentions but if I don't do it straight away weeks can drift by then I just think it's not worth it - better things to do with my time.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

As a seller I don't see why I should leave feedback? Leaving feedback for a buyer is a completely pointless excercise now, as every buyer will have 100% pos regardless of whether they are a nightmare buyer or not!

If you get a bad experience from a shop you never go back there. If feedback is no use anymore then why have Ebay Amazon and the like still got it?

some people don't leave fb when they are not entirely happy, rather than 'make a fuss' they'd rather not leave any fb.

I've seen sellers resorting to all sorts to get their buyers leave fb for them, like asking for 5 stars on fb left for buyers (and get a neg in returns stating 'inappropriate use of fb').
