Tiramisu....good point about some chick crumbs being dangerous. I had heard that the odour control is not too good though, the crumb soon breaks down and starts to smell. Do report back after a couple of weeks of use and let us all know if this is the case or not.0

Cheaper price per bag is not necessary cheper to use - I always calculate cost of litter used per week/month/per number of cats.
With 4 now, 1 bag of GG lasts me say 15 days so 2 bags per month (less really but for the sake of calculation) so £19.99 per month for 4 cats so it works out at £4.60 per week for 4 cats so really about £1 per week per cat.
In fact, I would say it is about 80 pernse per cat per week - using Golden Grey with 4 cats at home.
I tried the tesco litter and thought it was one of the worst ones I've used.
I loved clean n tidy cat litter but first they stopped selling it in PAH which was upsetting as I liked the smaller bags as I have a neck problem. I was getting it off amazon in the big bags but they appear to have done something to the formula and with my last 6 bags it's stuck like concrete to the bottom of the tray and also meant I'm having to constantly wash the litter scoop. I opened my last two bags the week before Xmas and I'm just thinking about emptying the trays so it's lasted much less than it used to. 2 large bags used to go 8 weeks with two cats sharing 2 trays but they favor 1 tray. It's also tracking much more.
I've just ordered GG odour as I hate scented litters & litter mat as I read here about the tracking. Does anyone know if you can order this anywhere but zooplus as I fell out with them about them denting my tins and not replying to messages so I'd rather order elsewhere if poss0 -

Clean N Tidy from Pets at Home was very good, I used it (for caTS BEFORE)
I do nto believe anyone else sells GG I am afraid.
I had last bag of Biocat and after not using t for ages, it was terrible now to compare to GG to be honest.
It is only GG here now0 -
I use silica gel bought from Homebargain it is in a 3.2 litre bag costs £2.29 last time i bought it an equivilant cost £4 plus elsewhere, this i recommend as the best value and the best product try it and see:j0

Friend who has 7 cats used silica for ages and now is a firm convert to GG

I am a total convert to GG(and I loved BK before!:o) - it is soooooo easy to clean out (and never found the BK difficult before
BUT there's none of the little bits that fall off the clumps)
It does track more:( and that does annoy me a bit so I will have to see if I can handle it in Archie's tray as well - have 2 bags of BK to finish first though so it will be a while!!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

GG has much finer granules than BK, perhaps that is the reason for BK breaking up a but when removing "clumps" and GG trackng a bit more than GG?
But re tracking - Macius is a digger anyway so...0 -
I have 2 indoor cats and I use Morrisons clumping cat litter (I use the anti-bacterial one as I find it controls the odour better) and I have to say, I'm really happy with it - it always clumps really well and is really easy to remove, plus it's such a good price.
I tried Tesco clumping litter for a short while because Tesco deliver, I don't have a car, and cat litter is heavy! But it just really didn't do the job the same. It stopped a pool forming at the bottom of the tray, but whenever I tried to remove the clumps they just collapsed and it was a pain.0 -
We use Sainsbury's basics litter - it works well, we just keep it clean - so when a cat does something in the litter tray we use a scoop and clean it0
