Me too, and I only had one cat.
I'd do newspaper in the base and the about an inch of litter over the top, chuck the whole thing at the end of the day.
I'm so glad I discovered clumping litter:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Whew, so it's not just me who hates it then. Stupid glorified gravel. My three are going to turn it into a layer of cement.0

Oh dear, to be honest i'd take the hit on the cost and chuck the non-clumping stuff and buy decent litter. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
That late at night, I had no choice. He bought a humongous bag as well, bless him. I'll just have to face the music, and perhaps mix it in with the clumping stuff when I get some. Your commiserations were much appreciated

do NOT mix the 2, not going to help
just throw away, cut your loses and keep your sanity0 -
OR ...... drop it off at a rescue - sure they'll be delighted to use it up!

Honestly.. there is nothing to compare...
I do nto believe you have actually tried Golder Grey, have you?
I ordered my golden gray late so had to buy tesco's clumping litter it was cheap but it does not compare to golden gray
It was very soggy and left small (going threw the scoop) clumps so I could not get all the wee and poo out so it smelled
I could not wait for my delivery to come so I could throw it out0 -
We've been using Worlds best cat litter ever since our cat, Ted, was a kitten, he's 7 now. But recently the price has really increased, so after doing a lot of research, i've found a safe alternative clumping litter.
It's actually Chick Crumbs. I bought a 20kg bag, Dodson & Horrell, for £12 from Jollyes pet store. The Worlds best costs around £31 for 12kg. The crumbs work exactly the same, if not better than the Worlds best & Ted hasn't noticed the change one bit
Btw, i just thought i'd mention that not all chick crumb brands are the same, ie some bags have harmful antibiotics etc added to the mix, obviously because it is meant to be chicken feed after all.
Hope this bit of info is helpful0
