    LOL re scoop hahahahah :P

Massive BUT (pls do not shoot me, only realised with time) the holes in it could be smaller to be honest, for clumbing litter....

Love the size but those holes are too big, if a clump breaks... smaller holes would be better
  • Re scoop .... let's say I won't be ordering another;)

Great for big clumps - not great for little ones

BUT the new litter tray has arrived & its fab:j

Still huge (just not ginormous;)) and seriously thinking of ordering a 2nd one for Archie!

    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!
  • Thank you for reminding me about the scoop shall add that to my order of feline, canine and avian Christmas presents.

I have two scoops, one with large holes and one small holes. I found it easier to use the larger one first and then sift out any smaller lumps. I usually sift the smaller lumps out once a day unless there's loads of them. I have noticed though that since changing to GG it rarely breaks up. Since the large one only has half a handle it does need replacing, I'll just need to make sure that I keep it out of hubbys reach.

Still loving the GG (baby powder scented) and since I have changed Gizmo to raw I'm cleaning it less now so should hopefully be back to odering litter once every two months. The scent doesn't really bother me as I have a terrible sense of smell and hubby and daughter don't mind it so think we'll be sticking with it.

Have to say .... I'm loving the GG more & more - apart from one BIG negative

It is so easy to clean out (the BK is good but I can't believe how much easier the GG is):T

Honestly, if your tray is somewhere (cupboard etc) where tracking doesn't matter then this is an absolutely wonderful product :)

BUT - if not, and tracking does matter then ..... sadly :(

I'm going to have to take everything out her room tomorrow and give it a good hoover in there as it is all over the room and I certainly couldn't have it somewhere where it wasn't contained as I do think it would end up absolutely everywhere:eek:

    BUT ...... I love it :o

I'm going to get mats - nowhere out of the way to put boxes - but the almost total removal of smells comparing to other litters is FANTASTIC! :T why they ever stopped selling it only God knows. The absorbancy has to be seen to be believed too

I don't bother with an official litter scoop cos of holes. I use a garden shovel instead (no holes & it's stainless steel)!

Best I've ever used, and cheap as chips. Or maybe cheaper, because chips aren't that cheap anymore :p.

I have three cats: one has IBS and two pee like there's no tomorrow, and this is the stuff that I've found to be cost-effective as well as effective-effective.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi folks, I don't normally post over here but as it's a cat thing I thought you might be able to help!

I have recently moved house and no longer have a cat flap (it's rented so I can't put one in). My 4.5 year old boy likes being indoors and won't go outside for more than about 5 minutes - he's a timid lad. So, obviously, he is now doing his thing inside and it's costing me a fortune in cat litter.

He's been really, really good at using the tray and so I am trying to make sure I am equally good at keeping it clean for him. But I am getting through so much litter...what are the best cheap ones you have found?

Morrisons is my nearest supermarket and their cheapest value stuff isn't very good (I use lots of it). Their next one up is ok-ish, but I am wondering if there are any other options?

    Thanks!

It's a bit of a faf, but I used to have a big plastic tub and mix the cheapest (99p) with catsan or anther good one to halve costs. Also line the tray wit lots of newspaper to soak up any excess then throw the whole lot in a bag.

I've given up on a litter tray now as my dopey cat sleeps in it and refuses to use it just keeps whining at the door!!

Have you calculated how much does it cost you per week with 3 cats please?

Cheaper price per bag is not necessary cheper to use - I always calculate cost of litter used per week/month/per number of cats.

With 4 now, 1 bag of GG lasts me say 15 days so 2 bags per month (less really but for the sake of calculation) so £19.99 per month for 4 cats so it works out at £4.60 per week for 4 cats so really about £1 per week per cat.

In fact, I would say it is about 80 pernse per cat per week - using Golden Grey with 4 cats at home.

I hated catsan, I actually ended up throwing half a bag out as it was so dreadful.
