  • it seems like nochex is just the same as paypal,.. taking the money and just sending auto reponses emails,. or emails which dont answer the question you asked!!!, freakin annoying,.

and i have been rooting for nochex over paypal for along time,. !!!

Alot of people in the Green Room (nochex forum) have had the same thing done to them, and not given a CLEAR CUT answer to why their account has been made inactive (closed!) http://greenroom.nochex.com/
  • ive been using nochex for years without a problem, cheaper and more professional than PayPal, all my customers used to say "oh paypal, you mean ebay" haha... mind you, paypal have now bought in merchant services like taking payments over the phone, so I have started using them a bit more again now...

My account has also been suspended but had a zero balance.

Am I safe from incurring any charges?

thats what i use-to say,. UNTILL now, been using them when they started back in 2000-2001 ish,

And now i cant get a answer from no one!,. their is no phone number for them either,

sgx.saint > if the accounts suspended it would be a !!!! take if they took the "no login fee" as you cant login due to the accounts suspended,

I too couldnt login to my account, so I went through the re-activation procedure of downloading a form, filling it in and sending back with photocopies of utility bills etc. Never got any response to tell me that my account had been activated, but I logged on today to discover they had taken out £35 in charges as I havent used my account. I filled out a contact form via their site threatening legal action if I dont get a refund or reduction in the fees which I think are excessive. I was never made aware of the charge for not using it, and if another post here is correct, when I joined it would have been £2 per quarter in charges not £5. Would be great if there is something that can be done about this, so if anybody has any further ideas or experiences I would be grateful to hear from them.

    Yep thats right.
I got a reply to my request for a refund of the charges and basically they are saying the £5 charge is in their T&C's so they will not give me a refund.
When I joined originally the fee was £2 per quarter, are they within their legal right to have increased the fee without any warning? Does anyone know where I would stand legally, as I am inclined to sue them in the small court.

PS. In fact in their reply to me they state £35 charge per quarter for dormant accounts, which must be a typing error, but what a bunch of cowboys!!
  • will have to see about that,. companys are just bleeding every one these days,

and all these net based companys are really trying hard on keeping their staff hidden,. you cant even call no one in nochex at all , via email they dont give u a str8 answer to your problem,

    paypal ,.. nochex ,.. ebay , pixmania , dabs

    waste of time,.
  • Having lost £26 myself to the Nochex-we-take-your-money-without-telling-you-rip-off-merchants I've today reported Nochex to the BBC's watchdog programme and also the FSA who licence these robbers.

I'm also enquiring as to whether the police could be called in as their dormancy rule was introduced without telling anybody, they don't tell you when they are taking £5 each time, they don't tell you how long it is before an account is dormant, They don't even tell you when they have completely bled you dry.

I hope people with hundreds or thousands of pounds in Nochex wake up to this amazing theft of money before it's too late.

I can't believe in these days of tight financial regulation they have got away with stealing our cash. They must have creamed off tens of thousands - I have a feeling the people here are the tip of the iceberg.

Watch this space.....(and hopefully Watchdog)..... it's time for somebody to fight back against Nochex.

  • i really did think nochex was a good firm, but it seems like when u get the scammer buyer trying to make a claim they will close ur account, im guessing they do this so they dont get a fee from the CC company,

charging the no login fee for a frozen account , is just taking the !!!!,!!!

Edit> seems like they giving me the full amount, with out deductions,

update,.: i didnt get charged nothing, and got my money back in full,. after 90 days... they Still didnt explain WHY my account was closed,..
