Write to the Woolwich :) Its OK they have been the same company for years so you may get a reply from Barclays.

Once you get a reply then use that as the address for future correspondence.

I sent off my initial letter to The Woolwich on 15/5. I heard nothing back from them. So I sent a follow-up letter on 24/6, sent recorded delivery, but have still heard nothing from them.

    What are my options now?

    Nik_k,

Which address did you send the letters to? Mine went to the Jackson House address (I'm sure it's been in this thread a while back...).

    Hope that helps!

    Web
Digital TV, Broadband & Phone requirements - around £50 pm saved !
Don't let them Estimate! Gave Powergen a 'real reading' & got £122.16 back that I'd overpaid!
Mortgage Exit fee - £100 received from the Halifax - for just a phone call!
Woolwich - received £3,845 refund of bank charges :)

That's about 75% of the total - that seems to be a figure they are offering without much of a fight. I know it's possible to go for the full amount and get it, but I suppose it's down to individual circumstances if you go for it or not.

Personally, I'd be inclined to accept 75% - as I've said before (I think!) on here, the amount of hassle & extra time to potentailly get another 25% doesn't seem worth it to me - plus we're expecting an addition to the family in October, so some cash would come in handy! ;)

Let us know how long they keep you waiting for your money Cat, hope it's not too long for you!

I sent to Jackson House (both letters)
