Thanks guys/gals..
Letter is already to go back requesting that £3080.65 should be paid back to me. I see a few people have used different addresses to send this letter back to could someone who has been successful please confirm for me which address they posted to...?
Thank you again..
I sent my letter to trhe Customer Service Team address in Clacton on Sea. Got a reply letter within a couple of days, so I would go with that one...

Woolwich then offered to refund all my charges (only £85) bu refuse to pay my £30 costs.
Can I let this go to Court? or will they say they made an acceptable offer?
If you gave them sufficient notice of court proceedings and they failed to make offer of payment, it's now too late. They will have to pay court costs or appear and defend the claim.0 -
Letter has gone in the post, will keep you all informed.... :j0

Hi
I have just sent off my claim letter for the woolwich, I have two accounts and charges amounting to £2142.00!!! I have decided in for a penny in for a pound and charged interest £248.68 - OMG how could I have wasted all this money. If I get it back it will pay off a credit card making me nearer to being debt free.:j
Has anyone else claimed back from the Woolwich and been successful??:rotfl:0 -

Hi There,
I'm newly registered here now, but have been reading the site for a while. I thought I would just update you all on my progress, and I need some urgent advice from you all too.
I started my claim at end of Jan 2007 via a DPA request to the Woolwich detailing my charges. Like others, they returned my £10, and then took the full 40 days to send me the charges break down. I have had charges over the last six years and I thought it would amount to about £2000, but when I added all the charges up it came to just over £6500!
At the same time as I received my DPA request, I received an offer from Barclays Head Office Customer Relations Team of £950 (valid for 8 weeks till end of April). Case had been transferred there, and I got a letter confirming this from Woolwich. Although I am pleased with this amount, I immediately smelt "cover up" as I had not made a formal claim at this point! This is when I discovered the sum owed to me was substantially larger. I then followed the claim process, issuing my letter for the full amount stating I would be taking legal action after 14 days. I have not heard anything more from the Woolwich following this claim. The deadline date passed on 28th March. As I was away on business they have had a few extra days grace to increase their offer.
Last week I spent the time calculating the interest on a line by line basis, which has now added a further £1300 to my claim, giving me a total just over £7900. I went through the template letter for the particulars of my claim (although had to tweak it very slightly as it was over the 1080 character & 24 line rule applied by MCOL). I submitted my claim online yesterday morning £250) and felt very pleased. :T (I don't think it will be processed though until Tuesday 10th April when MCOL staff come back to work).
Now I feel nervous. I have read a few more of the posts here, and I stated my Defendant as Barclays Bank plc, with their registered office address of 1 Churchill Place, London, E14 5HP. However, I bank with the Woolwich and the initial address I used was the Clacton on Sea one.
So my question is, have I made a big error in claiming against Barclays Bank, when I should have stated the Woolwich and the Clacton on Sea address??
Or am I alright, as the Woolwich is owned by Barclays, and the contact details refer to them, and my case was refered to Head Office Customer Relations team, 1 Churhcill Place, London, E14 5HP??
If I have made this mistake, can I correct it (as my case is pending at the mo) by contacting the MCOL customer service team on Tuesday?
I really could do with some advice on this, perhaps just to put my nerves at rest?
Hope you are all having a lovely Easter break.0 -
As you received a letter from Barclays, you should be ok with them, but as I'm not expert, I'm sure Edinburghlass or some one else with more knowledge will be able to tell u... Good luck with ur claim, its a biggie!
