So you go on holiday, get assaulted by the staff so badly that you can't enjoy your stay or go swimming and you stay on site?

And then you want to go back?

If that had happened to me I'd be leaving, via the police station on my way home and never returning.

OP...I know that you have written to HO but try sending an email to John Dunford, Bourne Leisure Group (Butlins, Haven Holiday Parks, Owners Exclusive, Warner Leisure) Chief Executive at john.dunford@bourne-leisure.co.uk. Explain your situation to him, be polite and insist that he only investigates and responds to you.

    Good luck.

Why do you want to go back ?

I'm struggling a little with the length of your post - if your letters to Haven were as long and as muddled I'm not surprised they haven't been helpful.

Do I have this correct ? You put money in a machine and it was swallowed - the staff were unable to replicate your issue so you kicked up a stink. They asked you to leave and you were unwilling to do so, so they basically escorted you off site ?

It's worth remembering that it is a private facility, and they can ask you to leave for whatever reason they see fit. I also believe if you refuse they are entitle to use reasonable force to remove you from their property; particularly if you are being abusive.

Also remember that 'abusive' is a very subjective term.

    My thoughts exactly!! :T

How much money was lost in the change machine? Either this is a wind up or some people have too much time on their hands, maybe you could get a job writing scripts for Eastenders?

I would put your money where your mouth is and sue the Company for damages.

They would either settle or contest the action. If they contested the action then they would be happy that they had enough proof to counter your claims.

    OK, time out.

I'm going to close this thread while waiting for the Forum Team to take a look.

I do not know how I missed this epic. Now Freddie will sum up for newbies.

Op took family and mum to Caravan Park, arriving late one evening.

Ops mother escaped and ran off to the slot machines. She lost all her money, and used some machine function to get some more. Machine allegedly took all her cash.

Someone in the family is disabled.

Op found mummy, though she had lost her money. Op waited and some staff arrived. They were unable to replicate mummy losing her money.

Op an entourage stood ther ground and were asked to leave. Op refused. They were escorted off the premises.

    Op wants some compy.

I am afraid, Freddie does not condone gambling.

Also, as my current wife does work in retail, I cannot condone an aggressive attitude to staff or other workers whatsoever, whether op thinks they are right or wrong, I would support Haven in their removal of you from the site.

More information on this from USDAWs website http://www.usdaw.org.uk/ourcampaigns/freedomfromfear.aspx

In these circumstances, Freddie is unable to offer absolution, but if I was the site owner, I would look at the footage to see if their is any evidence of my staff being threatened and take the appropriate actions.

    Hello, Thankyou mse/forum mods.

Just a little update, Currently I have emailed Consumer direct whos last advice has been we recommend taking the issue to a civil court and they have also provided details for free online legal advice?

Also they emailed my issue to trading standards and stated they may reply.

Consumer direct also provided advice to contact the equality and human rights commision via there contact form on the main website and I am currently building into reading the reply they have sent.

The equality and human rights commision was contacted with regards to the disability discrimination element of the complaint.

Above noted for compelteness and my previous thoughts on those who feel discriminated against
One is not opposed to your views but I also have a life.

We should be worried of the Neavorsis Guardianista PC Fascists, whom envelop themselves in their own deemed self righteous behaviours and then impose them ad lib on the rest of society. As with the vegetarian who comes to dinner and insist their needs are above yours, if you cannot live with other people, it is not me who has the problem, but the one showing the behaviour.

Tolerance after all, is accepting the environment you are in and behaving according. That way, you are not discriminated against and are welcome.

When you put the Jack Boots on, we are only hours away from the PC fascists burning the books.

Sorry op but the way you wrote that letter it just screams put me in the bin. No wonder you're having probelms getting this resolved. If you acted to the staff at the time in the way you come through in the letter you pretty much have no chance of winning round the company.

You won't get anywhere writing things like this:

That really doesn't make you look like a nice person at all and will make anyone who reads it side with (also believe the most) the staff 'Steven' and not you.
