I don't think i am going to pursue this complaint further as i have made my points to the customer service and they can decide what they want to do... i guess i am just curious and nosy and want to know what the outcome of the investigation is...

They probably wouldn't tell you. I once complained to Tesco because I glanced out of my living room window and was gobsmacked to see a Tesco delivery van parked right across the road and the driver standing beside it relieving himself in broad daylight against the hedge. I watched as he shook off the drops, tucked it back in his pants, and climbed into his van and drove on his merry way.

I wanted Tesco to tell me if they had sent the driver for some hygiene training :) but they wouldn't say. Just remember, if you ever have shopping delivered by Tesco, say no if they offer to come in to your kitchen and unpack it for you!

is that actually worth it for a few bags

But the bags are not the real issue here, it is the way the OP was treated by the staff at the store, surely that is more relevant?

Flyboy152 I am totally calm and not at all upset about anything. And I have read the whole thread. It is the lady who needs to calm down and not make a mountain out of a molehill.

I really don't think you have, otherwise you would have realised what the OP is really complaining about. The OP did not expect the supermarket to store her shopping, they offered to store it. When she returned, she was met with rudeness and indifference, this is the reason she complained.

I do hope it wasnt always put back on the shelves and depended on the goods in question and the circumstances.
Don't worry, I don't recall ever getting any thawed out meat to put back in the freezer section :)
But i think jeff more meant like asda or tesco
It was one of those I worked at! :)
... Although i wouldve thought this would be common sense rather than training.
Exactly! It is mostly common sense and something you pick up as you go along, there was no "product location training" that I heard of. :)

Then surely Flyboy if the op did not expect the Supermarket to keep her shopping she surely shouldn't be surprised when she goes back the next day to her that her shopping hasn't been kept and know one knows where her (free as she has stated) bags are?

I would agree with Flyboy here IF the OP was told that her shopping (and bags) would be kept intact for her until she returned the following day i.e. the shop made that 'offer'..

Money_User, she might NOT have expected her shopping to be kept but if that is what she was told, in so many words, by the checkout person that that is what WOULD happen, then she has every right to expect her shopping and bags to be there on her return to the shop to pay for the shopping.

However, I've re-read the OP's post and she doesn't say that is the case:
was shopping there the other day and after having all the stuff checked out at the self service check out, i realised i didn't have my purse with me. i told the attendant what to do as it was the first time it ever happended to me. she said i could come back later but as i didn't live locally, i said i would rather pick it up the next day and she said it was fine.

Saying she 'could come back later' is not the same as saying 'We will keep your shopping and your bags in the back of the shop until you return'.
