I was reading an article about the Biggest Loser in an US magazine, it seems pretty much all of the contestants put all of the weight back on. One put on 30 pounds in two weeks!
Blimey!!! All that effort for nought  I wonder how the UK contestants are doing now :think:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

2 miles of brisk walk(as it started to rain :P) and... 15 miles on the bike
still going to the gym tonight too
I'm really good today, worst thing so far was an eat natural bar(not that bad, is it? :P)...
breakfast: blueberries+greek youghurt
lunch: broccoli+fake lasagne(with courgette slices instead of pasta and hf creme fraiche instead of white sauce, just a little cheese - very yummy!)
dinner: don't know yet, maybe a salad or ham+soft cheese rolls...
I did the Cambridge Diet in the past, lost 10 kg in two weeks I think but of course all came back... I think I won't be crush dieting ever again... I just need to learn how to avoid the "bad things" I really like(chocolate&co) as I already love all the "good" food and have no problem with eating it... And the biggest part of the "new" way will be just A LOT of exercise... I'm good if I'm on the roll but a week or two off and I'm getting lazySo will just keep going and work on my "diet" a bit harder
will get there in the end I'm sure
Another question(sorry):
re alkohol, I know I'm supposed to avoid it and I dont drink much(a glas or two a week normally) but when I do what's the best option? I don't really drink beer, and won't like vodka with sparkling waterMy favorites are white/rose wine half half with diet lemonade or red whine half half with diet coke or vodka with lemonade/coke... Any better suggestions? TIA

they avg 52% keeping it off which is 50% more than gov stats which puts 98% of people putting it back
of the 11 winners only 1 (Erik) put it back on, he was in the process of loosing it again
and dont forget many of the contestants dont stay in the house long enough to have a life changing experience
some of them do get screwed up and end up anorexic
its not an ideal solution but it can make for good tv0 -
Fred can you add another 3.43 miles to my total please :A
Managed a run today :j after 1 weeks rest was hard work but managed to keep up the 30 mins run with 5min warm up and cool down walk. Also was trying out my new HR monitor my friend brought me and I maxed out at 178 (this was not my treadmill interfering which was a prob with my old one) so now I know what I need to aim at improving.
czerniacha - I would go for the Vodka and Diet Coke option if you want to keep your calories down or Gin and slimline tonic ( I prefer the vodka myself)
Eric - Yep call me tortoise compared to you and super Matryoshka :rotfl: I will get there but I want to build on distance first then speed. So next week I will try and get back to running for longer.
I have been baking today which is a big problem for my diet as I tend to suffer from wanting to test everything. But after having to buy a new oven I just had to test it out. My fav thing I have started baking is Irish soda bread (wholemeal of course) with low fat natural yoghurt works out at not too many calories and it doesn't bloat me like normal bread. And with a poached egg for breakfast is delish
Well done Dannie on being slimmer of the week :TRestarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

I was having a really boring afternoon once so decided to google BL and all the previous episodes and where are they now type of thing and the vast majority of people had given up not only the gym training (could not fit it into their lives, having to work bring up kids etc) but eating heathily and watching what they actually ate and had mostly put the whole lot back on had to go out and buy another set of clothes and they all said that they felt ashamed, guilt etc but it was real life not a T.V yes they learnt but they did not learn enough to carry them through.0 -

Hey guys! Hope you don't mind but I'm going to join in. Here's the story for this week... Started off good. Did the wii for 15 mins (yoga!). Walked 10 mins to and from work on Tuesday and I've just done half hour on the exercise bike whilst reading a calorie bible book, and then 5 mins on the cross trainer.
I haven't eaten superbly this week, but better than I have been, so that, and the exercise is a start! I'm going away this weekend though, so hopefully I will make good choices. I shall be reading more of my book and deciding what meals to eat for next week!
Hope everyone's doing well0 -
Whats happenning with work victory or shouldent I ask?
Ask away my lovely, always open to questions;) there was going to be a home visit to assess my well being, why I had not come back to work etc and so put her off once as the letter stated you could.
Second time also and then said don't bother asking her to come instead I will hand in my resignation, seen as saw supervisor at docs and she never even bothered to talk to me let alone see that I was there:rotfl: OH hated that job on my behalf and was treated so bad.
So, wrote times dates peoples names etc a whole long letter of facts, handing in my notice, went to print, ran out of black ink so left it, no hurry, then forgot it and now still sitting here even if we have black ink:rotfl:
Waiting for them to ring to ask me where is my letter of resignation, I needed to cling on for dear life to that job to allow us to switch to a better deal mortgage but alas we got turned down twice and being on the sick pays me nothing so the mortgage people see a big fat 0 next to wage income and have turned us down so no use to keep so bye bye:D
I am still waiting for DLA and have put in for an october start once a week counsellor course always wanted to do it so this year is going to be the year, millions of people tell me it is a terrible idea what with all the stress etc going on but I am going ahead, spent years waiting to afford it will not be able to so scrimp and save and I am doing it:D0 -
12 miles for the challenge !
thanks0
