enabler to hide her own guilt for being a whale
and on a very dangerous diet0 -
I've only ever seen 1 person on the Cambridge Diet - and the food looked so disgusting I've never been tempted.
my OHs best friend went on it, dropped a tonne of weight, then went grey and lost most of her hair, and started smoking to curb her appetite ...
after a short stint in hospital she then put it all back on plus interest
so shes now bigger than ever, struggling to loose weight as she lost a lot of lean muscle and is now smoking0 -

Felt good to know that I could eat "forbidden foods" enjoy them and then "put it in a box" not feel guilty, not think that I had "blown it" and stuff my face, but to go back to my lower carb eating. Real achievement for me!
we made an apple crumble with "flap jack" type topping, rolled oats with some butter and a little sucralose based sweetener, was bloody delicious and low GI0 -

Eric - you have turned into a running machine I am so jealous
you just have to be the tortoise
slow and steady, little gains week on week, after you have got used to doing it for a little you just dig deep with a determination to beat your last distance or time by a little, I aim to knock 20s of my time each run, not a lot but it adds up over the months.

fredsnail - Thanks for your chart and the congratulations. I see that my target is reached. However, I thought you continued to the end of the month to achieve the five pounds. Am I right? My six pounds obviously not to fall by more than two? Thanks.0

Definitely a bit of jealousy going on there, but she is so rude about it!!!
I've heard of a few women doing that, telling slim women that they need to put on weight (even when they are perfectly fine how they are!) - it's not allowed to happen the other way around though is it? Imagine if you pointed out how fat she was and told her to step up the diet, she'd probably never speak to you again!!! (possibly not a bad thing though? :rotfl:)
Well at least she will have to stop bugging you now as when she mentions it you can always point out that if she loved her curves so much, she wouldn't be trying to lose them on a diet!world_of_tights wrote: »lolly101 - I am mostly thinking about a fiesta as that is what I learnt to drive in (although my instructor's was brand new, and mine will be 10 years old, ha), but any little car (1L-1.3L engine) would do me, just so long as it drives nicely. I want it now though - so impatient!
I know the feeling! I'm not going to have all of the the money to buy a car for the next couple of weeks but it doesn't stop me drooling at every pretty car I see and browsing ebay most days, lol! It doesn't help that my friend is looking for a car as well, so I keep trawling around the dealerships with him!Eric_Pisch wrote: »we made an apple crumble with "flap jack" type topping, rolled oats with some butter and a little sucralose based sweetener, was bloody delicious and low GI
That sounds amazing!I never knew a crumble could be low GI!

I need ome help.
Im going to do my weekly food shop tomorrow and i am sick of buying the same things. Lunch every day normally consists of either a cheese sandwich or tomato soup with bread. What could i buy instead, i know cheese is high in fat and bad for you and bread is full of carbs and i am eating way too many carbs. Breakfast is normally 2 weatabix with ss milk and dinner is normally pasta or chicken or meat, mash and veg. im really struggling to buy stuff that is healthy that me and my 2 boys will eat. Salad is rather boring and i cant eat alot of it. Any suggestions would really help me out.
Going to go on the wii in a bit and set up a exercise shedule that i can fit into the week.PAD Maker0 -
I made flapjacky apple crumble at the weekend when my grandad was over, and I managed to forget to put in sugar all together! I found it quite bitter (used cooking apples not eating) but he loved it, he ate his whole bowl and said it was the best crumble he'd had in a long time, not too sweet! Might be worth a try if like me you avoid sweeteners (migrane trigger, this is not me casting judgement on the health benefits!)

I was reading an article about the Biggest Loser in an US magazine, it seems pretty much all of the contestants put all of the weight back on. One put on 30 pounds in two weeks!0
