A very long time ago on one of my diets it said to have 6 almonds and I do, it is a family joke when eldest goes to eat the whole packet and we say to him ' no, only 6':rotfl: I love my 6 almonds in the afternoon, it is like a special treat full of goodness, I don't have them every day but I love the tesco salted almonds, expensive at over £2 a bag that is why they are on rations:D

I used to eat a lot of sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds not so much now but I am growing sunflowers in the garden so hopefully will have loads, it is the seed of tradition when in Spain, the salted one, twist them in your mouth get the seed out and spit the rest on the floor:rotfl: especially at fiesta time

  • I am reporting a 1LB Gain again :rotfl:Thanks Fred :A Can you also add 9 Miles onto my total for this month (a little below par but I will try harder )

Been away over the weekend for another Birthday Party and only had rubbish food to eat. (you can't just starve  but my poor guts didn't like it) But I have now found out that I cannot eat pastry YUCK! it is like eating lard ..... I just can't do it :(
Not been running now due to being away but I have done a little walking instead. I feel a little trapped though so I need to get out tomorrow or I will go mad

Welcome back Mazza  Hows life after the RM?

Betty - how is the new job? your never around now :( how is the running going ?

Eric - you have turned into a running machine I am so jealous ;)

  • Just on a side note - at my friends birthday party Saturday night, her mum who I last saw in September told me that every time she see's me I look skinnier and skinnier. So I said she was my new friend for life :D

I did feel good though in a dress ( I never wore dresses before) and high heels which I kept on all evening too. :j

Just weighed myself after being on holiday and not happy at the increase in my weight.

Possibly due to drinks not food, as I don't drink much alcohol but had a lot of soft drinks in the evening. It was not easy to avoid as the friends I was with were always moving bars - normally I can last on one or two drinks when I am out and that is not every night.

But excuses over and I need to go back to dieting for a month as I have another holiday soon.

I am not going to weigh in until after my next holiday as seeing all the extra pounds will demotivate me, I think

Fred - I will PM you when I want to join in again, I feel I should be apologising for making a hash of it all

I have not been at all well (think it might have been food poisoning) and have not eaten for 3 days - will begin to eat again tomorrow

The only good news is that I have lost 6lb, not from last weigh in though - most is excess gain from holiday

An overweight colleague at work keeps on going on and on about my weight. "You are too thin, you need to put on some weight, a woman needs curves" and tells me how she loves her curves. These are what she tells me constantly and it's beginning to grind. I try not to say anything as don't want to say something hurtful as she's more obese than overweight so I bite my tongue or like today, I told her I love my figure the way it is but she still wouldn't let up.

Then, today I find out she's on the Cambridge Diet :rotfl::rotfl:She loves her curves so much that she's on a diet :rotfl:

Hope you feel better soon frogletina.
  • Thanks Fredsnail :j

Can you add 2.51 miles walking and 11.8 miles cycling for me today - thanks!

I need to start walking further again, but it's far too tempting to sit and do nothing instead...

lolly101 - I am mostly thinking about a fiesta as that is what I learnt to drive in (although my instructor's was brand new, and mine will be 10 years old, ha), but any little car (1L-1.3L engine) would do me, just so long as it drives nicely. I want it now though - so impatient! :D

I've only ever seen 1 person on the Cambridge Diet - and the food looked so disgusting I've never been tempted.
