We made homemade ice pops today, banana and fat free yog, yuck, the banana tastes disgusting and mushy, in the bin, no added sugar ribena summer fruits and water, lovely a bit strong though, no added sugar angel delight in butterscotch, yum, strawberry and choc, always a winner and finally half water/diluted juice with natural yog.

The winner is the yog and diluted fruit juice, anyone else have any ideas for no sugar or very little sugar, low cal, lovely summery ice pops recipes?

I was looking to buy this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udIDfLRPdQ0 but the reviews on amazon are awful and it seems expensive for a gadgety gimmick.

Son wants to try some with sugar free lemonade or a coffee one.

    Hey Everyone,

Tights - Congratulations on passing your test!

Princess X - Congratulations! :j That's an amazing amount of weight to lose!

Victory - The angel delight ones sound delicious! I must try them! I remember making cola and lemonade (not together, lol) ice pops, I think they were quite nice although can't really remember.
We make milkshake lollies - just blending fruit with milk, and anything else that might go, then freezing them.

I read about that lolly maker when they first came out, I heard that they were quite good, but the price definitely put me off!

Well I've had a great few days of dieting, not so good on the exercise front. I've been trying to keep up with the challenge, but that's about it.

I'm not feeling positive about tomorrow either - as well as the lack of exercise, I had thai chilli beef salad for both lunch and tea. Great dietwise, but probably full of salt. I used 1 tbsp of soy sauce and 2 tbsp of fish sauce in the dressing - is thst bad? They both taste very salty so they must be?
It will even itself out throughout the month I suppose.

I'm adding 115 flights to the challenge, which makes 248 flights, or 2066 ft.
  • Thanks for the congratulations everyone  I am now in the process of finding a little car to call my very own - it's kind of scary, the most amount of money I have ever spent in one go was £320, and I am now looking at blowing almost £2000 on a car and insurance (all saved up, no loans etc - this is MSE afterall). Hope I don't end up with a duffer!

Anyway, back to the point. Fredsnail: is it too late to join this month's challenge? My main forms of exercise, other than resistance training, are walking and (exercise bike) cycling, but I have really been slacking with them, and I wonder if being part of the challenge would help? If it is possible to join, since the 1st June I have walked 15.91 miles and cycled 37.51 miles. If not, I understand and will hopefully be able to join next month :)

I love the idea of making lollipops! When we were kids we would put a mug of cola in the freezer, and then eat it with a spoon once it was frozen - or more like sook all the cola out until it was just ice left. Thinking about it now, that is possibly the most unhealthy thing you can do with cola... Oops!

Princess X - wow, that is amazing! You must feel fantastic :T
