I think (but i'm not a Dr) that if my HR was 258 I would be pretty much dead so my it is a little confusing at the moment.
When I want to check my HR I have to have the watch part resting on the band that is around my chest so it doesn't get the interference but it is a little unnatural running like thatSo I cannot get an idea of my average but normally I am around 159 - 168 I think.
I have a range of HR monitors including this optic glove (not surprising since i had a heart condition lol)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Beurer-PM100-Non-Stop-Heart-Monitor/dp/B000I6DVIO
It cost me a fortune (£120) but they don't seam to sell them anymore
I also have a polar reader for a bike which i stuck on my treadmill as the treadmill polar monitor seams to take avg readings over very long periods and did not show when i was in afib or got "stuck" on it, got this for £60, and i cba keep looking at the watch

Morning all!
Glad the link worked alliwant - if you search google or the freebies board you should find a few more free downloads from them with more tracks.
My knee is ok at the moment, thanks, hopefully it wont flare up again for a while. But I never can tell it just comes and goes regardless of what I do! But since it's ok today I'll prob go out for run 3 of week 3 this afternoon
Did some excellent yellow sticker shopping in the supermarket last night :money:Lots of reduced veg and plenty of fresh herbs as well which went straight in the freezer! Should mean I can make some interesting new meals this week! had a lovely sausage, leek and butter bean stew last night but it was a bit salty I think my stock was too strong.
Hello littleangel I agree with minniethemoocher just concentrate on eating healthil and getting lots of nutrients / vitamins for you and baby!
And dont try to lose the weight too quickly (damn those celeb mums who seem top 'snap back' into shape and make ordinary folk feel bad - when really most of them get C sections and tummy tucks straight after!!)Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Just wanted to check if anyone is counting swimming lengths against the Eurovision Challenge?
I joined the local pool / gym yesterday as part of the GP referral scheme and in true MSE style want to get my money's worth and go everyday. I Think I will alternate gym / swim and hopefully add in a few classes (although I will have to be more organised than usual as you seem to have to book quite far in advance)
So if its counted I completed 20 lengths yesterday which according to Google is a massive 0.3 miles :rotfl:I suppose every little helps.0 -

I started running outside but I live in a very hilly area so I kept ending up running uphill and getting terrible calf cramps. That is why I ended up buying a treadmill and also means I can run whenever I want.
I find as I have been listening to the C25K podcasts I just let my mind wonder and being on the treadmill doesn't bother me ATM. But now I have finished that I want to try and get back outside to tackle the hills
I think i posted some pics of my run in France last time I wentlovely long straight roads surrounded by hills and fields.
Are the C25K podcasts free? I've heard of them before, are they just music or motivational messages or what??
A 1lbs loss for me this week, was on nights again last night. At least it's in the right direction.
Off for a spa day with the wife today

Hi Vix
I'm fine thanks, a bit thinner too but not quite at my goal weight! The weight loss has given me a bit of a confidence boost, so I 'got over myself' and I'm going to uni! Start an art course at Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon in September. Look out Tracey Emin!:D
Any bits of news your end?
Ohhh get you!! A tax dodging student now then!!Good luck for september.
Nothing much is happening with me, i'm single...still work at boring debenhams but this year sometime i'll start working as an air hostess! Just gotta wait for a start date.
Its nice to hear from you.0 -

(normal is 24.3 - 30.3% whereas high is 30.4 - 35.3%) except in this case the higher it is the better it is but obviously I don't want it too high as to be a bodybuilder lol.
Princess do you have a chart or table which shows muscle % ranges for females by age group? I've only ever been able to find an 'average' figure. I'd be very interested to know where I am on a range scale.
I don't do much in the way of muscle-building exercise because it would be too much for me to maintain, nearly all my stuff is cardio.
Glad you're enjoying your gadget! :j
Hi Tagz and Raph good to hear from you both, long time no see!0 -

Hehe I wish I could dodge the tax but unfortunately I'll still have to keep the part time job going !I did however tell the kids that if I got into uni I was going to shave half my head, have dreadlocks on the other half and change my name to Willow!
But ooh get you!!! Air hostess!! What a fantastic job. Are you practising at Debenhams? 'The bras are located here, here and here!' Which airline will you be with? Talk about glamourpuss! :T
Victory Not so much of the 'oldies' thanks!!!;) How are you doing? As I remember some of your kids are about the same age as mine. Exam fever yet? Got two swatting (yeah right!) at the mo.
Lovely to see a load of names I remember. Might just stick around if that's alright with you lot.I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0
