Betty - thats amazing that you are getting interviews:T I just hope you get something you fancy soon; what a lift that would be. Are you and your DF:D planning on getting married soon?

Thanks :) Lovely to hear from you. hope things are improving for you.
Fingers crossed i'll hear back from the interviews soon! No wedding plans/dates yet, maybe next year depending on money situation.

Eric: Well done! I couldn't even do that that quickly! I do 3k on the cross trainer in like 25 mins!!!! haha. I never run in the gym, i get embarassed because i know i'd have to stop after 5 mins and look like a right loser.
why dont you do run, walk, run, walk (interval training) it's meant to be really good for you

Ok this morning I got my running gear on, kicked myself up the bottom as I had been sulking after Thursday's mistake and finally completed my C25K challenge :j:j:j

So I can say I am feeling really happy and pleased with myself now and I am looking forward to tuesday's run. Any suggestions to what music I can run too now ?

    Woo hoo!!! Well done!!

For new running music, try searching for the biggest loser power music, there are a few free downloads available with chart/pop music that's been edited to have a good tempo for working out. (128 bpm)

this is the latest one: http://subway.workoutmusic.com/ but there are some more (older ones) out there with more tracks - try searching in the freebies board for free music downloads

Welcome newbies :D sorry I havent been able to name you all individually!! The threads gone so quickly this weekend!

not had the best weeked for food - waiting to hear about jobs makes me comfort eat!! :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for the welcomes! :D

World_of_tights - 3lbs is a fantastic weight loss for a week! Try not to feel disheartened - at that rate you'll be losing a stone every month!

Mandz1 - I'm sorry to hear about your grandad, hope you're doing okay :o

I was wondering if someone could give me some advice about exercise? Since I'm a student I'm pretty skint and I can't afford a gym membership. It's not a problem when the weather is good cause I can go walking/running/cycling but when it's pouring with rain and I'm stuck indoors what could I do then? Are there any good indoor exercises that don't need expensive equiptment?

    Fingers crossed for you Betty.

You'll never believe the advert I have just seen for a set of scales that measure bone density and bmi AND they automatically tweet your weigh in results to your friends and family!!
Anyone fancy buying some of those for an incentive:rotfl:
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Tibbles, as you're a student there should be a sports centre on campus with various forms of exercise on offer.

Failing that, Rosemary Conley has a video demonstrating an indoor workout that you can do in your own home or anywhere.

Thanks :) I am always disappointed when I wake up on a Monday morning and the scale doesn't tell me I've lost 50lbs :rotfl:

As for exercising on a budget - work out dvds! You can pick up some of them really inexpensively on amazon - I recently got one of the Brittish Biggest Loser dvds for less than £4. The '10 minute...' ones are also good, and pretty cheap. Davina's work outs are good, and can be pretty tough, and there are loads of other ones with reviews kicking about on amazon.

Alternatively, you could try picking up a cheapy exercise bike on gumtree, or I know argos do a super cheap one - but I think it might fall apart if you look at it too hard.

Failing all that, dancing about is always a good one! I have a half hour mix tape that I put on, and then bust some serious moves :p Seriously though, just moving about and getting your heart rate up is great for you.

I will come back if I can think of anything else - but definitely check out exercise dvds :)

Rain isn't my favourite but I just keep on with the outdoor stuff whatever the weather!
